Down 35-23 to Georgia Freaking State, at home, less than 5 minutes to play.

    That's gonna leave a mark.

On fourth and short, Tenn QB just threw a terrible pass way out of bounds downfield. Pitiful.

Georgia State should add Tennessee to their list of significant donors to their athletic program.

The magic that is Phillip Fulmer. You lay down with dogs.....you get up with dogs.

When you absolutely, positively have to run a once proud athletic program into the ground....not once...but twice!.....call Phil Fulmer.

Sabre can provide any needed references.

I smoked a brisket yesterday for my wife’s Vol family. I haven’t seen a more depressed group of fans since the Charlie Strong era.

My wife ditched her Tennessee shirt at halftime and put on the burnt orange. :hookem:

Sadly my newest Vol shirt is about 15 years old. Make sure she remembers that the program flushed the toxic administration problems during the last hiring process. I know the program is in a really dark place, but at least better decisions can be made in the future. As bad as it looked, I think the fan base did the right thing rising up against the Schiano hire because it ran off booster(s), aka big cigars, who meddled way too much and administration who wouldn't allow the athletic department make good decisions. It might take 5-10 years but I see a light at the end of the tunnel.

They should have hired the Pirate when they had a chance. Fullmer killed that deal in favor of a Saban wannabe.

Totally agree with the Schiano uprising and I also think Leach would have killed it at Tennessee. The preparation yesterday did remind me of Strong. Multiple times the Volunteer defense was running out a d lineman when the ball was already snapped.

Pruitt is a good coordinator just like Strong and Muschamp. They need to part ways, blow it up and start fresh with an experienced head coach. Go get Leach or even consider Les Miles or even Mack Brown.

But don't forget that Tennessee was not interested since it wasn't a $EC, $EC, $EC opponent.

Did you notice Tennessee changed their colors to a Texas burnt Orange?

Really sad for a once thriving & proud program... have some relatives in Tenn. and couple are UTenn grads. That's the only program in the SEC I would care to see successful, again. I don't give a rat's *** about any of the others....

Really? I didn't see any of that game. Their previous orange was kind of a yellowish-orange shade. Was it really close to TEXAS burnt orange?

If it close to our color, that is complete and utter BS. We have a marquee, unique color to our team established through years of winning tradition.

Yes but Nike has bastardized it. Somehow burnt orange has turned into pumpkin.

I was so close, if they had a 'Horn logo, it would looked like us. First thing I noticed that they had changed their yellow-orange to a burnt orange.

Check out a replay on the SEC SEC SEC NW, if they show replays of embarassing loses.

Another one if the blue blood ptogrsms that supposedly helps round out that really tough SEC meat grinder of a schedule.
Meh. I’d put Tennessee on par with Iowa St or Baylor and that is being very generous to Tennessee.

I didnt see the game but it wouldn't surprise me if they did that.

Yeah, at this point I think you are being generous. It sucks! Kinda like when Charlie was here except I think this will last much longer.

I have no ties to Tennessee. I spent time in Pigeon Forge once. We preferred NC.
I see the Vols as a 5-7 or 4-8 team. They have some talent I believe. But yea they need to find another Coach. I do feel sorry for them. I know the fans are very passionate. We’ve been there it’s a process.

They will be lucky to win two games. Maybe BYU and likely Tennessee Chattanooga.

Nah, this is the SEC LEast... they stand to
beat some very beatable teams in mizzoo, vandy and KY.

However They play Bama this year so they might need a Special Victims Unit on hand after all the abuse they receive in that one.

but we all know that’s a privilege earned by being in the sec sec sec

Had not thought of thsi but believe you are correct. I think Leach stays because he could win in the Pac any year now. Les would be a great solid coach and Mac will probably damage Tenn. recruiting at NC. A big problem Tenn. will have going forward is the quality of the athletes on the field. a successful Mac at NC and Mephis and Vanderbilt building programs are huge hurdals. Kentucky and Louisville don't help. Tenn. may have to hire the best recruiter from surrounding sound programs if they intend to get a jumpstart. Nice stadium though.

Any school, outside a few of the bluest of the blue bloods, would be fortunate to have Leach (or Mangino).

I wonder if even USC might make a move for Leach if they can’t put out their dumpster fire this year...?
