I don't care where you're from or live and there's no butt hurt here my friend, I'm just replying directly to an obnoxious no nothing who's "take" on the game is outlandish. You're the one who made the statement that you're "done", perhaps you can follow through on that and...be done! Your take and multiple posts proves your ignorance and your response to me shows that you lack a true understanding of how large institutions work. Perhaps following and rooting for Blinn College is more your speed. I'm just spit balling here.

Bless your heart. My comment of being done had nothing to do with leaving here.

    Have a nice night, or a ****** one. I don't really care.

So our biggest fan base is in Collie Station? That is sad.

Was there a Captcha so we know it was not the sheep who inflated the numbers?

And it is curable with the operative term being "young cornerbacks."

Not happy we lost and certainly Herman made some mistakes. I would say the loss is primarily on our cornerback #3, then a big chunk on Herman and then finally a small bit on Ingram.

This season we need our secondary to VASTLY improve. I am not excited to face Okie State, OU or Baylor with our current cornerback situation. Those games will be shootouts that could go either way without improvement.

Long term, to become an elite coach like Nick Saban, Bob Stoops, Mack Brown, Urban Meyer, Jim Tressel, etc, Herman has to get better at clock management and in game decision making (when to kick field goals, when to go for it, CLOCK MANAGEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, when to onside kick, etc). I wish Herman had tried to drain clock more in the first half and sped it up more in the 4th quarter. I have noticed in general, the past 10 years that clock management among coaches seems to have fallen off throughout college football. Almost everyone seems to manage the clock like Les Miles now, and I do not know why. If I learned anything from the Mack Brown era, it is that you can win a lot of games with great clock management (see all the numerous 4th quarter comebacks).

Also, I am not beating up on the guy and he had a fantastic second half, but I really wish Ehlinger was a more accurate as a passer. Our receivers may actually be the best we have ever had. They just need passes to be slightly closer to them. Ehlinger looked sharp against La Tech, but not as sharp today. He has improved greatly overall and continues to improve overall, so I am hopeful his accuracy will continue to improve.

Honestly, I am not extremely upset because this is still 1,000 times better than the Charlie Strong era. At some point the high of not going into games completely hopeless and actually being competitive will wear off. For now though, I am happy that I know we are (1) going to a good bowl, like it is not a question of "if" we make a bowl; (2) could still win the Big XII; and (3) the program is moving in the right direction right now long term.

Also, I think I am in a good mood I decided not to spend the money and did not attend this game in person missing the heat and commercials! (This is a big statement since I missed only a handful of homes games from the early 90s until this 2019 season). I'll be at Okie State and OU though and hope we win those shootouts. I think we can outscore Okie State (will be tough), but I am very worried about OU right now. Anyway, hope we get revenge on LSU next year!

Are you not drunk? Are you saying you post comments like this, unprovoked, in a sober condition?

So, why does it bother you so much to have negative messages posted on a message board? This is a message board. I post many positive comments about the Longhorns. I couldn't do it tonight. Are you saying that by posting my observations that don't align with yours that I should leave and I have a low IQ?

Seriously, tell me where I am going wrong. Texas will win a lot of games but they will like lose to OU and maybe Oklahoma Tae and TCU. What makes you thin I'm wrong? What makes you thin that this performance indicates that Texas has finally turned the corner and will become a national power again?

I'd love for that to be the case.

His two older brothers played for LSU. Richard was first as a safety and then ****** Jordan Jefferson played QB for us. Justin has a lower star ranking then both but he is easily the best brother out of the three. Star rankings don’t matter sometimes/

I think LSU is overrated. They will lose 3 games this year. Our RBs are handcuffed by a piss poor scheme...I doubt Ricky Williams could run with this scheme. Our red zone offensive plan is horrid. Other than that we are pretty good on offense. Defense just lacks talent and animals on the DL. Once we ever recruit beasts we will be ok there. Our secondary...WE ARE NOT DBU anymore. Our lack of pressure without blitzes makes us look worse than we actually are in the back end. Who is calling plays in the red zone ? All a defense has to do is let us get inside the 10 yard line. Our own play selection will kill the drive. Will we bounce back from this loss ? Sure...we have Rice next. After that it will be a roller coaster. Winning is hard.

There were not any DBUs on the field tonight. It looked like two modern Big XII teams playing honestly.

I hope they beat Bama and make the playoffs so we can have a rematch. I think we take OU this year. We might lose a game to a weaker team this year, but Texas will be in the CFP mix at the end of the year.

    Sit Down! [removed name calling].

You and several others are the one's who are bothered by your own low IQ.
I and others have been responding to your asinine comments tonight, you unfortunately lack the maturity to respond accordingly.

You said you were "done". I take that to mean you are done with The University of Texas and it's football program. If that's not what it means then please enlighten us with your brilliance.

I think y’all will definitely be if the CFP picture in the end. I stand by my belief that LSU’s defense is great this season. Y’all put up 38 on them. I doubt anyone else will score that many points on us for the rest of the season. Not even Bama. That was a battle. Don’t doubt your squad. Y’all are very good. TBH Joe Burrow kind of surprised me as well and I believe his destiny is to be drafted by the New York Giants and become the 6th Burrow of New York.

We were working with two Running Backs, one was a true frosh IIRC. The others, being injured. may not be cleared to play for a couple more weeks. The D had to replace 8 starters from last year squad. The newbies have a lot of work to do to get some experience and also to work with each other better. that comes with with practice and also from being under fire together. Despite that, they played hard tonight, and all kept after it to the final whistle.

All very true and part of the reason for the loss. Couple a secondary with a few holes in it with lack of pressure on a qb with a great release, and pinpoint accuracy, and it makes it hard to outscore them because they score on most possessions.

I understand the dissapointment by us fans because of high expectations and the long draught. There is a lot of blame to go around, but some of the negative feelings may be the result of the game announcers being a bit unfair on Texas. They made issue of a bad Texas secondary but little was said of the LSU secondary getting burned. Texas played with these guys and could have won. So if the they think LSU could be #1, I guess Texas could be #2. What do ya thank, Herbie?

On a positive note, the one thing I like most is the culture change. They never give up and any team that plays them will be in a 60 minute dogfight. (Does anyone remember the blowouts of the Mack era?) Texas these days reminds me of the DKR teams. They play hardnose football and don’t quit, even when they are outmanned. They will lose some, but they will get the respect of having fought a good fight. And they WILL win a lot of games.

    1, 2 and 4 correct
    3 neither was LSU

Herman's 4th down on the goal line brain darts took the air out of Texas for the remainder of the first half. LSU's defense was gassed from mid-second quarter on. All Texas needed was a stop/turnover in the 4th.

A gassed LSU team taking long rest time outs by having players lay on the field seems like an issue NCAA should have to deal with. If a guy has a cramp drag him off the field and deal with it on the sideline. Many of those guys were back on the field rather quickly.

I still say this game was lost in the first 15-20 minutes of the game by poor coaching decisions. The team had enough to win this game.

Yep. I’ve always seen LSU as a team with generally superior raw talent and Cro-Magnon offensive coaching. Now they have a really good OC so watch out.

Yep. Don’t expect USC to hire a new coach and win the national championship the next year. Michigan has rebuilt but still struggles from time to time (like yesterday v Army).
