Don't in any way take this wrong, but for interest's sake, that is four full feet short of Marquis Goodwin's still-existing national HS record of 26'10"

In case you ever wondered what happened to 2017 5-star DT Marvin Wilson from Bellaire Episcopal. He is PFF's top rated interior pass-rusher
This was the same class tOSU came into Texas and left with Dobbins, Browning and Okudah, and Stanford took Walker Little. This was a bad year for us to be screwing around (thank goodness we stumbled into Ehlinger, despite ourselves)

Yeah, but we got a bunch of players with more "upside".

Also TaQuon Graham, Josh Thompson, Gary Johnson, Montrell Estell, Reese Leitao, Daniel Young, Jordan Pouncey, Toneil Carter, Cade Brewer, Derek Kerstetter, Samuel Cosmi and Jamari Chisholm. A lot of those guys have played a role for the team at one time or another.

Not bad for a group of castoffs, but in hind sight a clue about the caliber of Herman's prescient evaluations.

In fact, Herman could not sign Ehlinger at Houston as Sam committed to Texas under Strong.

Sam was committing to Texas no matter who was “coaching” so he came to Texas in spite of strong.

Coincidental on who was coach at the time. Glad he wasn't here a two or three years under Strong or he would've left early for the NFL or transferred as well. They worshiped that guy more than they liked Texas (it seems).

Ugh. Don’t know if it’s possible but that comment will make me attempt to try to not post or like or agree with any posts that mention Charlie Strong ever again... everyone needs a wake up now n then....

He committed to the University of Texas Football Program. Like most athletes, they do not commit to the man, but to the program.

Sam committed to Texas when he was three years old.
