No, no. He's got it wrong as usual. Every one of those coaches was indeed the answer. aggy just can't see that the question is not what they imagine it to be. "Who will keep aggy football on its tradition laden, historical path of success?"
Therein lies the problem with those rubes.........they have a better imagination than Timothy Leary on LSD.
I've seen so many meltdowns on TexAgs over the years, but this current one is probably the largest ever. I'm surprised the server handled it.
I'll tell you why this one hurts | TexAgs Just so much LOL in that one...but at least they acknowledge being little better than a Meineke Car Care Bowl-level team
Kyle is supposed to be a hell hole for losing teams... Sounds like the fans are to blame for this one
He forgot pathetic fans with unrealistic expectations since they really haven't accomplished anything since the late 80s and early 90s.
Here is the rational: - best conference - best coach - best state for recruiting - NC! As others have read from my prior posts, that line of thinking is called cargo cult (look it up). The fact that Aggy is a cult to begin with, it’s not surprising they leached onto another cult like phenomena.
Good stuff over there on Texags: "Kyle is supposed to be this hell hole for visiting teams. We should expect wins AT HOME. We continually get donkey punched at our house with all of our billion dollar investments and big time coaching hires. In the end, we still look like a middling football program who can't score a touchdown till the second half." Most of them seem to be coming around to the reality that Jimbo is not really going to change the mediocre football world aggy lives in.
That Texags was brutal, all right. One lone guy saying that Jimbo doesn’t have his guys in yet. Reminded me of me trying to justify giving Charlie Strong more time.
Maybe That USF job will be waiting for Jimbo, where he can work part-time and still clear $10m a year in semi-retirement.
The funny thing about aggy is every year their confidence starts out super high. You'd think after 80 years of no national championships and not really being that relevant nationally, other than they're in the sec, sec, sec, they'd be a little more contrite. They're always convinced they're just about to break through if they can get the right coach or recruit a few more players. Aggy beat writer, Brent Zwerneman, called the loss to Auburn a "mild upset"! Auburn was in the Top Ten and aggy was barely in the Top Twenty Five, but it was a mild upset. Amazing.
VY, all of Jumbo's millions have already been paid. He can walk away from collie station one day and sign a contract with Alabama the next and still have his millions.
I'll go out on a dangerous limb and say that, after paying that chunk of change, Jimbo should have 5 years to get A&M rolling. Unfortunately, patience runs thin when it comes to college football coaches, and is an inverse relationship as the salaries go up..... To expect success in year 2 against top 5 talent is wishful thinking no matter where it is. Blake left Stoops a full cupboard for his one natty, but I'm not sure Sumlin cared a lot about defense. It would be unprecedented but I think TAMU should give Fisher the Tom Landry-ish treatment and let him coach out the entire ten. Switching coaches prematurely isn't going to help. Heck, don't know why they got rid of RC...….
"Heck, don't know why they got rid of RC...…." I know an older aggy alum that expresses this to me every time aggy hires a new coach.
I'll believe Fisher has been paid the full amount when I see his bank statement. How is it you're privy to this information?
Well WM has spoken. Zuckercanyon is equivalent to "Old Aggy Alum"....I'll change my name to Oh-Double-A and pretend to forget how I got the moniker.... ;-)
Another funny thing about aggy is how they psychologically project to such an absurd degree. Remember when they thought old butter teeth Mack Brown was the snake oil salesman? Now they have mortgaged the family farm to hire the biggest grifter of all time. Rubes
