Thankfully Dicker erases the goose egg....

3 adjustments at half:

1. get pressure on - put a spy on Hurts
2. shore up OL - pick up blitzes and stunts
3. run more quick developing plays / passes

Dicker has elevated his play to the level it needs to be to beat ou. Now if the rest of the offense does the same we have a shot!

For anyone following the thread but unsure of the score: 10-3 ou at the half.

Using all three timeouts there is about on par with the play of the land thieves...

Anyone who told me the defense would hold ou to 10 point in the first half would have been laughed at.

Now to o needs to do something

 

Defense has played well enough for Texas to be ahead. Offense has played timid. Ou d-backs are holding our receivers on every play.

 

Imagine for a moment...

What if I told you that Dicker the Kicker would put not one, but two through the uprights...and even though one didn't count, it showed that Riley still kicks puppies and is only up by one score.

And what if I told you that Texas could tie on the first possession of the second half...

 

Throwing a body at him won’t cut it. Stick and wrap...or is that not the technique anymore.

 

Same for us only getting 3 at the end of the half
Strange game but it is very winnable for us if we can adjust for the 2nd half

Texas only had 7 in the first half against LSU and put up 31 in the 2nd half. Herman took over the playcalling in the 2nd half. Herman has to do it again.

 

Herman needs to say thanks to Greg Davis and send him on his way.

 

I think we are going to have to go up tempo in 2nd half but I imagine Herman is embarrassed about our run game so he will try to get that going but we will have only minimum success. Up tempo. Take some shots downfield. Plus quick hitting passes did I say up tempo. Duvernay duv duv.

 

How do you know that? Not disputing it, just didn’t know that something like that was publicly stated.

 

So OU has 260 yards, 107 of which is Hurts running. We basically shut down everything but his scrambles. They aren’t pushing over us, and their receivers are not running loose.
