As I said, the Eastern Division of the $EC is horrible. What will Georgia's excuse be for losing to SC? Any $EC team in the top 20 is only there because of $EC, $EC, $EC.

But hold the presses, aggy beat SC, Sc beat Georgia ergo aggy is the right there behind Alabama and LSU so no matter what happens today they still should be ranked because they are $EC, $EC, $EC.

How the hell can the guard/center fail to realize the stunt up the middle time after time after time? The Oline lost this game today. Just pathetic play all game long. They should be embarrassed for their school, their family, and themselves. Center got owned so many times I lost count. We had Sr.s make stupid play after stupid play. Duv trying to run out kicks, CJ looking up and dropping a for sure 30-40 yd gain. Roach getting kicked out. Sr.s and OLine were the difference. The let the rest of their team down.

Why does anyone care that Georgia lost? Texas just got its teeth kicked in. I don't care that it was a 7 point game. It felt like Texas lost by 28 points. Totally dominated.

With so much to chose from, its tough to single out what was the worst facet of our game. But I am going to go with missed/whiffed tackles. With OL play a close second.

Think about this -- OU lost 4 of their 5 OL from last year to the NFL
Not only that, but both of their starting tackles were out due to injury today.
How many sacks or tackles for loss did the Texas defense get today?

This game was set for the Texas D to be in teh backfield on every single play. OU has a bunch of scrubs on the OL and we couldn't do a damn thing about it.

The only reason this game was close at all was because Jalen Hurts is vastly overrated and made some very terrible decisions today.

I think the OLine made Sam look bad today. He was under tremendous pressure the whole game. Our strength was our weakness today. OLine.

There is sane and there is realistic. Texas can just not get over the ou hump, even if we beat them, they will win in December.

    WorsterMan SEC here we come!!

He didn't play his best game but he kept us in it despite ou having a spy on his *** the whole game. 9 sacks are not all his fault bro. OL missed blocks and pocket collapsed on him many times.

He also got some poor play calling by Beck.

Eagles juggled / dropped pass at mid field, that would have been a 99 yard TD, could have changed the dynamics of the game....

Poor tackling... oh, and did mention poor tackling?

A lot of blame to go around.

The team, once again, played hard. I’ve got no complaints team wise.

I think we had a horrible offensive game plan. We win out from here including beating OU in the Big 12 Championship. Hopefully we are healthy on both sides of the ball.

I respectfully disagree that our poor tackling is due to youth. It’s due to poor fundamentals coaching and, in my view, it’s a larger modern day phenomenon. Let’s go back 1 year ago....

    Coach Orlando takes ownership

OU also won this game because they cheated.

There were at least 18 missed holding penalties on OU that I saw. Many of the plays had multiple OL holding at the same time yet the refs were blind and saw none of them.

Texas had 1 guy on the OL hold that was missed. So OU out-cheated us 18 to 1. Tom Herman needs to send the video of all the holding plays to the Big 12 conference.

Guys, if you think that we should be playing even with Oklahoma and the rest of the big boys with Herman in only his third year I think you're having unrealistic expectations.

As the game developed, it was clear it would not be a shootout. It was 90% a one-score game. Sam, while dealing with an OL breaking down over and over, 9 sacks, goes 26/38 with no turnovers. If the D gets one more stop in the 4th Q, I felt we had a good chance to tie, and UPSET the favored sooners.

That does not equate to playing like “whatever you said that was filtered.”

His post is not incorrect. Sa
@p_town_horn why do you disagree? How many times has ou been ranked #1 compared to Texas? Conference titles compared to Texas? Hesimans, NCs, etc., compared to Texas? Sadly, they are just better year in and year out in every category, overall head to head record that was helped in Texas's favor 40 + years ago. Seriously, when will Texas start winning the Big XII and seriously be in Heisman and CFP talk? I want to believe you're right that I'm wrong. Help me out here.

Texas certainly had their chances, but unfortunately Greg Davis was brought back to call plays in the 1st half.

And what kind of *%&*&^* idiot coach and team keeps running kicks back to the 15 when you get a free gift to the 25? Field position was critical and Texas put themselves behind the 8 ball every possession in the 1st half.

VY is not the only sane poster. He might be outnumbered though.

The tackling and OLine play are just soo frustrating! We’re all upset right now. I think we will get a rematch in December. If the secondary gets healthy by then maybe we can upset them. J Whit too, he could make a big difference.

Partially our OL looked bad because Grinch outschemed Beck so decisively. This looked worse than most Greg Davis games.

    Sam did play poorly.
Many of the sacks and yards for loss were on him.
Get rid of the damn ball.
    But our entire offense sucked.
Can we get a real OC please.
    Defense kept us in it.
OU appeared very beatable to me.
    Maybe we'll get another shot.

OU went to the final four last year. Maybe this year too. It’s a hard hump to get over, but when we do, it will be because we are a top 4 national team. We aren’t quite there, but when we are, we will know it.

Thoughts without reflection. Horns were never in danger of winning this game. Offense set the tone with their first play, a telegraphed long lateral 6 yards behind the line. Shackleford got his *** kicked by the nose tackle for the second game in a row. Special teams punt and kick return must be improved drastically. Texas had chances to make plays and simply failed to do so. The defensive players are exceptionally poor in tackling and Orlando’s defensive scheme is worth 10-14 points to the opposing team. The dirt burglar db’s held on every play. Texas receivers seemed to be held coming out of every break, and some of these led to sacks as Sam didn’t throw the ball because the receiver was not where he would have been with a clean break. Texas was out coached in virtually every phase of the game.

The way Strong left the program it's absolutely true. Have you noticed that we're having to play underclassmen everywhere on defense? That's on Strong. Herman has only 2 classes to call his own and came in too late on the third to make much of an impact.

Wonder who all was on that left
Sam and all of the team could have played better and the coaches can take their share of the blame; a big share. But I do not believe that the Texas team matches OU talent wise.

As to Sam, he did some really good things today and did so with unbelievable pressure. You would have to have played the position to understand how difficult it is to complete passes with good cover and no protection. The qb looks bad because the rest of the team is failing.

Hurts was the one turning the ball over.
