    Unacceptable
26 needs to quit dropping passes before he says another word to anyone. Much less The undisputed leader of the offense.

26 needs to sit for awhile.

No imagination on offensive play calling

    Not enough touches for 16

Keontay seems like he's regressed. The preseason hype was that he'd put on 15-20 lbs. of muscle and was going to be a beast. I know he's been injured some of the time, but he just doesn't seem to be running hard. He's easy to bring down.

There's no doubt we do better with no. 2 in the game than with no. 26.

It looked to me like Sam was trying to coach him up and he got defensive and pissed.

Kid is obviously frustrated but when a guy like Sam tries to coach you up, he should swallow his ego and listen.
Otherwise, they might stop trying to reach him and he doesn’t want that

I don't think he's any better or worse than last year, but last year I said he wasn't much better than Watson and got attacked. I pointed out Watson gets all the carries before the defense is worn down and also was getting all the short yardage carries so it was easy for Ingram to have a higher ypc average running against a worn down defense. I think that was correct.

We haven't had a true difference maker at RB since Jamal, and that's a long time. Maybe Malcom Brown coulda been with even half decent OL, I dunno, but I'm sure hoping that changes next year. The drought has been way too long.

As long as Herman uses that "slow to the hole" philosophy running only between the tackles with our backs it doesn't matter who is at RB. Sure RoJo will break a couple runs here and there but most times we will be stuffed for 2 yard gains until we can recruit a line like the Dallas Cowboys had back in their heydays. The running game scheme is garbage.

THINGS were not going our way and you can only imagine how frustrating it was for the guys that were playing the game....

I was skeptical that the extra pounds would make a difference and, of course, they have not.

I will not be surprised to see Ingram’s name in the Transfer Portal, not that I want him to leave. I don’t. But he is what he is, and it’s (so far) nothing more than an average RB at best. We expected more.

We don’t need the drama. RJ is tearing it up, KJ has hardly seen the field. We have Young available. Later we’ll have access to JW, and next year I cannot wait to see Bijan and Ty, my sleeper pick already. I doubt there will be room for Ingram next year.

    Majestic,

What is it about slow developing plays against large, very quick defenses that you don't like. The last time we had a line strong enough to run that crap was 1983, and five of those could bench over 500 pounds.

Move the RB up and hit the hole quick. The only back that OU was afraid of getting outside was Sam.

Keontay had 126 two games back.

I would quit throwing him the ball for awhile.

I would also scheme in some two back sets and bring one in motion in front of Sam to create deception and a quick bit of uncertainty for the LB's . Some creativity in the run game would help.

I am almost certain that Keontay was asking, "Why do they keep sending me out to the flat behind the LOS to throw me a pass when the defender is always there right after the ball arrives? We have done it 9 times and none of those plays have worked."

Sabre, the back cannot be moved up, the is where the QB is. Of course there is always the option of putting the QB under center, but then I am old school.

You know Tom Herman will have you banned from Memorial Stadium for such suggestions.

Where was Kirk Johnson? I can’t believe he didn’t get a single carry. He looked like he had some explosion to the line in his few carries against the hillbillies.

I was just pointing out that we HAD had a difference maker since Jamaal Charles.

Still in IR, I think. No doubt that 2000+ yard season took its toll.

True, but what was the team's record that season? Near .500, I think.

Didn’t say that he was. But it seems pretty obvious that he is at the least a high maintenance player. Translation: A distraction. Yes, that’s my informed interpretation. Who needs that in an average (so far) RB?

I trust the coaches to make the right decision with respect to this player. It will be interesting to see how it plays out the rest of the season, and who is getting the majority of the carries.
