Why does the second baseman get away with not touching the bag on a throw?

I bet if his name was Bluedick people would make jokes but Reddick just gets a free pass for some reason

ARod during the postgame (maybe) --

The wind was blowing really hard when the Astros were at bat, and didn't when they were in the field. It like they had a giant wind machine. I'm not saying they cheated, but being able to control the wind gives them an advantage for sure.

ARod also thought pregame that Wade Miley had the start
Miley is not even on the roster

They clearly were in that New York state of mind...

Seems like being a fan of the Dodgers or Yankees ALWAYS brings out the worst of humanity...Astros put up with batteries being tossed in that one-game playoff in 1980. At least in THAT game, the umps had the stadium PA staff announce that the game would be forfeited if the conduct continued...

Assume they mean the games at Minute Maid. Not even the NY knuckleheads would suggest it happens when Houston is playing outdoors.

However, no way in hell would MLB admit to this even if it is true since acknowledging it would mean Houston would have to forfeit all home wins and participation in any postseason games. Publically they would say their exhaustive studies could not confirm. Privately they would send a message to all teams that play at home indoors that this issue would be monitored full time at all indoor games. Anyone in violation from that point forward would forfeit.

Wow, all these years, I thought his name was spelled "Lowell".

And if you ask a fan of NY or LA about it, they will just say, "Well, that's just the way it is in NY (or LA)", as if that excuses it.

I can’t get a response from my two Astros buddies either. I know they are watching, but that first inning took it away from them.

If we go to game 6 in Houston do they throw Cole then or save him for game 7?

Save Cole for 7. Sad that all it took was a bad first inning from Verlander. Darn.

Yeah I heard Hinch say tonight is a bullpen game, Cole for 7 if needed.

I guess the Yankee pitching was that good last night because the Astros couldn’t hit anything. Gotta shut down the Yanks tonight and end this thing.

I was in the camp of making last night a bullpen game. I wanted to rest Verlander another day and go back to Houston having to win one of two games with Verlander and zcile back to back. But there is probably a reason I am a fan and not a coach.

This is what I wanted as well. Hopefully we still end this on top.
