I only see what you wrote but MKelly was definitely on the attack
But I say there was much more going on there than the debate itself. It was a manipulative self-promotional attack. I think it was more about Kelly's desire to move from cable news to daytime network TV where she hoped to become a sort of Nordic Oprah. In order to have a chance at that, she had to first be able to distance herself from Fox News. Otherwise network TV would never accept her as one of their own. Lucky for her, Trump appeared to give her that chance. Once he did, I think she began to scheme and plan. In this light, her stance as a moderator was not really about Trump, it was about her own career advancement. She did not see Trump as the enemy and it was not personal for her. Trump was just a convenient tool for her to use. And it worked. She got her chance and got the bigger salary she coveted.
