I really miss the days when Texas would score 59 pts and allow less than 20 against teams like Kansas...

 

Agree. But remember we have 5 starters out on defense and at least 1 very banged up.

Hard to be very good with a mash unit. Also remember these are almost all new starters.

Overall a good special teams play... but no one seems to be able to return a kick.

I really dont know how Herman can keep Orlando again. I am not sure if he is responsible for defensive recruits or not but here are some obvious things:

1. We have zero pressure at the DL
2. We have slow LB's that exacerbates no 1
3. Our DB's are always scrambling like they have no idea what is happening
4. Our special teams could not be any worse
5. As much as we all disliked Greg Davis as an OC back in the early Mack days, one thing his offense did was read defense and adjust to hot routes/plays. That is not existed with Strong or Herman coached teams.
6. Need to recruit speed at all positions except OL. We have Duvernay and Collin as legit weapons and we fail to use them I guess saving them for next year. Oh yea, they are SR. Guess we are saving them for the NFL combine.

At some point everyone has to man up and say the guy in front of me is not beating me!!!

Have been a horn fan for 50+ years and that wont change. Just very disappointed in our many millions we are paying for coaches and what we have to show. Its better than strong but not by much.
