#17 is a lot more generous than this team deserves.

Buechele may get the last laugh this season.

Buechele isn't as good as Sam and if he wanted to start, he had to go elsewhere. Good on him.

Buechelle is every bit as good as Sam.
    Better in some respects.
But not in our system where Herman wants to use the QB as a bruising RB.

Agree to disagree. We need the bruising running back because we can't protect the qb. I recall a Maryland game where the LB ran right up Buechele's nose and blasted him. Steve playing in a lesser conference with lesser competition suits him. Otherwise, we'd see him at OU/Alabama/Ohio State/etc. Good on him for making the best of his situation.

    First off, who's Steve? ;)
I don't believe any of the schools you mentioned were looking for QBs or maybe he would be playing there.
    So Maryland sacked Shane?
Didn't Sam just take 9 sacks in one game recently?
Believe me, I'm glad we have Sam.
He fits this system and is improving every year.
But in a system that fits him, Shane is just as good.

Baylor or SMU would have a good chance to beat us because of the D, not Sam. Sam's the best player on our team and a great leader. I'd start him over Shane too. Now why SMU and Baylor have better defenses than us is a mystery even with injuries. Actually it's just stupidity on TOs part. Hopefully he watches film and figures this out. His stubbornness almost cost us a game against Kansas. Takes the worst O in the Big 12 and makes it look like OU. Good grief.

SMU v Texas would be a 65-60 score. Don't know which team would get the 65.

Has Baylor or SMU played any teams like LSU and OU?

They've both played teams that are a lot better than Kansas. ;)
