Is it just me, or is the offense really trying to take the Sam out of Sam. Last year, he made his bones with his legs and I don't know if Herman is worried about him getting hurt or what, but it's like they're trying to make him a drop back passer. If he hadn't improvised last night, we lose to Kansas at home.

Sam was Sam last night, full on. He made some bad throws, some great throws, some called runs, and some improvised - pure lovable Sam.

There’s a huge difference between having Shane Buechele as a backup and Casey Thompson, not having played.

Also, there are rumors his ribs are sore.

I think we all were hoping to see Casey last night,,,,,,, in mop up.

Yeah, the first two scores made it look like that.

Risking Sam is risking the remainder of the season so runs must be judicious and necessary to the game situation.

he wasn't the real Sam against OU, I felt/feel....too timid.

However, if you're about to lose to Kansas, all injury fear goes out the window
