Isn't nepotism when your family members work at your business? Who cares about that? Does Joe Biden have a business he owns where his son works? I don't believe this is what the issue is.

Case in point (note the lack of specifics - just vague criticisms of Trump’s personality).

That's so counter-intuitive. If he was told to back off, and he clearly was not investigating Bursima at that time, then why was Biden trying (with the rest of the known free world) to get him removed?

You're like Gail and Evel Snoates from Raising Arizona.

Gail: Freeze! Get down on the ground!

Shopkeeper: Well which is it young fella? You want I should freeze or drop? 'Cause if I freeze I can't rightly drop and if'n I drop I'm a gonna be in motion."

If that were true then only an idiot would be trying to get rid of the guy. It's like you paid off someone and then you wanted to get rid of them. Illogical. I mean we are having to bomb our own former military bases because we got the heck out of dodge so fast that we couldn't get everything out. So, yeah, makes complete sense in 2019...

The real issue is this: who will nominate Ginsberg's replacement? That is the game right there. That's my opinion anyway.

That's how we got Trump in the first place. The evangelicals selling their soul for Trump, Gorsich and Kavanaugh. Seems very Biblical.

Also, I don't know if this next justice moves the needle as much. Gorsich was the swing voter. Kavanaugh was icing on the rapey cake.

I always thought Trump got elected due to an act of God. The votes by evangelicals were just the means.

It's as "phony" as the constitution.

It’s obvious he meant the dem arguments for the emoluments clause against him is phony. Why do you bother?

He has such a bad case of TDS he can't help himself. It's reflexive it this point.

Yes the word 'phony' was used, but the bottom line is that it got to the heart of the matter which is precisely that the left-tards look at ANYTHING Trump does as being bad or otherwise enriching him.

The left has precisely ZERO interest in a country functioning to the benefit of actual citizens. That has been demonstrated time and again but never moreso than the time that DJT has been in office...

I thought he did the Doral thing as a distraction/FU and he didn't know how bad it would play with the GOP. It was a CLEAR ethics/emoluments violation. Also, note on the call with the Ukranian President that he referenced "I stayed in one of your hotels". Mother F'n Grifter in Chief. It's crazy. Look at the details of the Air Force and Pence staying at Trump properties in Ireland. Hell the limo rides alone for the 3 hour drive to Dublin cost the taxpayers $600,000. And you fiscal conservatives are OK with it. The irony is rich and the dissonance is uber strong.

The Zelensky call also shines a light on Trump’s financial corruption

He receives no salary as president. Sort of undercuts your argument.

I think some thought Liberals sold their soul by trying to have Ralph Nadar removed from the ballot a few years ago. I think the issue is electability. Values are somewhat static with most people. I've been online for years and never see anyone changing sides. They fight and think with a high degree of bias. The other side is considered the enemy and the game is to paint the leader in such stark terms (Hitler for instance) that a voter on the right would "sell their soul" (abortion for instance; I know quite a few people who are sickened by abortions) to Liberalism even if they have not abandoned their core values. So we judge them because they support Trump. Well, I agree the Republicans can do much better in terms of a figurehead but would that person win the election? George Bush is apparently very popular with the Obama's but as a President he was attacked mercilessly as a moron and a war criminal (even though Hillary voted for the Iraq War Resolution). But it turns out old George is a fun nice guy.

It doesn't matter who the Republican candidate is; he/she will be attacked. There is no chance there will be a compromise situation or acceptance that half the country thinks a certain way.

As for SCOTUS, I think a large majority of Conservative judges could possibly threaten many of the gains made by Liberalism over the years. I'm not so sure they have thrown in the towel on this.

Another daily distraction attempt by Trump today. He compared the Impeachment Inquiry to a "lynching" to try to steal news headlines from Acting Ambassador to Ukraine Taylor who is offering his deposition for Congress today. Taylor is the person who directly accused Sondland on behalf of Trump of a quid pro quo.

Fake outrage again. Only morons connect the word lynching with race. It means punishment without trial. Exactly what Democrats are attempting.

So, are we to believe only black people have been lynched throughout World and US history? Ridiculous.

Who gives a **** if he stayed at a Trump property. There is no indication that it was done to curry favor or that there was any pro quo in exchange for the quid. For someone coming from the Ukraine, the Trump hotel would be a pretty nice place to stay...it is a nice place even if NOT coming from a third-world ********.

But then again, the use of common sense is NEVER a strong point for the left-tards...even scarier is that vox.com is considered to be a legitimate news source. They tend to be so far left that they make NPR seem centrist. The simple reality is that everything they tend to put out is done with an agenda. The left absolutely refuses to accept the results of the 2016 election cycle and is doing everything they can to manufacture a Constitutional crisis that will ultimately gridlock the country...

It’s just another example of taking something out of context. It’s what they do because reality doesn’t fit their narrative. TDS.

Emoluments is the reason that a foreign government or company should not be able to stay at a Trump property unless he divested his interest like Jimmy C. and the peanut farm. Then look at the millions extra that we've spent making sure that government resources are spent at Trump Ireland. Kleptocracy.

Actually, the way I understand it is that the House serves as the grand jury and the Senate serves as the court. So there is nothing incumbent upon the house to call certain "witnesses" or to represent both sides. The Senate will do that. Am I wrong?

I do not know if you are wrong on that. However,...

The context of the lynching comment, I think, is the last 3 years of the Democrats looking for ANY reason to undermine, hinder, and obstruct Trump's ability to do his job. Also, the lynch mob mentality of wanting to impeach at all costs.
