The American Statesman mentions Joanne Allen-Taylor (sophomore 2 guard) replacing Sutton for now. So we will probably see the scrimmages and early games without our top 2 point guards(Sutton/Palmer). Anybody that makes the scrimmage/pot luck dinner please report for us anxious souls.
Well I spoke too soon. In my mind via rumors, 5 of the 12 on the roster are in some form or shape considered iffy for first few games. Sutton, Palmer, Ortiz, Hannan, and Routt are the five by counting on my toes. I don’t know how you do a scrimmage against yourself with 7 healthy players. Certainly Ortiz can scrimmage. Perhaps some of those can scrimmage (Ortiz or Hannan or Routt) or perhaps a walk-on or 2. Has anybody heard about a walk-on? I know they practice against the boys but would doubt would do that in a scrimmage?
I hope what you say is true, but I was at the game and a group of the team walked past us and then sat across the gym from us. She's not the....redhead is she? Also.....Joyner is in a BOOT!
I had no idea joyner holmes was one of the players that were injured. She didnt have a boot on at the big 12 womens tip off so thats either an injury that happened in one day or the boot is just a precaution. Hopefully a precaution because we cannot afford anymore injuries. I tried uploading the picture but cant figure out how but the picture with ashlee hannan in uniform was taken a couple days before they had the fan experience on bevo blvd so very recent
So that leaves us 6? If anyone went to the scrimmage today can you please provide the rest of us with an update on everything
Some readers of this board get anxious if anyone reports on a scrimmage because the coaches ask "us" not to post anything about what they see.
I would not think the prohibition would apply to the scrimmage which was designed as a public event rather than a regular practice.
So I was watching the ncaa womens basketball instagram takeover as they were at Texas throughout the day and they showed Texas doing a drill and I saw someone I didnt recognize. I dont know if she is a walk on or what but definitely someone who I have never seen before anyone have any ideas or insights?

I believe so!! I couldn't see her face I just saw her shooting and didnt recognize her. I actually saw two I didnt recognize. It could be someone already on the team I just didnt recognize them but was she the only one introduced at the potluck?
I’d check the Australian WBB/GBB twitter accounts for a few weeks after she left - never a peep other than she returned to Australia.
Ashlee has gone dark on her twitter account. She did post a picture on her instagram on March 15. Previous pic was July 2019. So she’s still out there but still a mystery why she left.
