Lets get this started. This team is falling apart and it all starts at the top with Tom Herman. He either makes immediate changes or he needs the boot. Time for CDC to step up and require immediate change or start putting a search committee together.

We'll have to check with the Binder to see if this is the correct move or not.

At this point, Urban would get real results. Not fake hype and BS.

Being as such that he kept Shake Dumb when he should have been fired last year I wouldn't get my hopes up.

    1. Does not care about special teams;

    2. Does not care about clock management;

    3. Choosing Sam over Shane, because Herman only knows how to run one offense. This brings us to no 4:

    4. No ability to adjust; Herman does not adjust. He knows how to do what Urban Meyer trained him to do and that is it. Gary Patterson adjusted at halftime and our offense was finished after that. Our offensive strategy seems to be to try and "out talent" people. We run the same plays/offense no matter what. There are no adjustments to target weaknesses in the defense. Herman also seems stuck in his Urban Meyer "find a fullback that can kind of throw" offense. Letting Buechele go was a crime and it was entirely because Herman cannot run another offense. This is really bad long term as college football changes and you generally cannot run the same thing for 20 years. Also, long term, how many fullbacks that can kind of throw are there to recruit? Especially since we will have to fight Ohio State, Florida and Utah, among others, for the limited number of fullbacks that can kind of throw this nation produces every year.

A lot of 1-4 above reminds me of a lesser Les Miles.

    5. Orlando has been a mixed bag throughout his career and there have been a lot of injuries. I am waiting and seeing on defense, but it is not looking good at all.

You lost me at # 3. Until today Sam has been nothing short of masterful for quite some time. Today was an off day but he didn’t get any help from his OC.

There is a problem, I don;t know what it is. This week, Eagles missed a practice and a meeting, he did not play, understandable. He was missed. Talk of Jake Smith entering the portal.

One thing, in all three loses, Sam and the O brought the team where we needed a stop to get the ball back to the O. In all three games, we not only did not get a stop, the opponent drove the length of the field and scored a TD. Today we just had to hold them to a FG. They scored a damn TD. In the 1st half, we had 3 red zones and scored a total of 10 points. That is probably where we lost this game.

I yield to everyone else who all know more than me. I am just old and have a headache.

If he doesn't turn this season around. He should be fired. Especially if players start leaving.

If the coach is any good the players will want to play for him and be loyal to him.

If he is a prick you will start to see decommits and transfers. At that point he's done.

********! The O failed to capitalize on a number of opportunities leaving at least 21 points off the board. They've taken Sam and the O out of what they do best. RTFB!

I’ve been the biggest supporter of Tom Herman. But I’m now realizing there’s a problem.

Also It’s glaring that Sam hasn’t been the same since the OU game. He just isn’t protecting the ball. He threw 4 int’s tonight. He had 3 more that could have been intercepted but 2 were dropped and one would have been but CJ held the DB which could of been called and wasn’t. So really there could have been up to 7 ints tonight by Sam. What the heck is going on?

Guess we don’t have to worry about Sam leaving early, unless of course he puts his name into the transfer portal too. But that would be a killer if Jake decides to do it. My biggest fear has come to fruition about a Tom Herman coached team. Way, way to often playing down to the level of the competition. The Horns have completely blown the opportunity this year to say they are baaaaack.

If Tome gets fired in the next year or two. The last 2 weeks were the beginning of the end. It should have been last week, but Kansas really, really sucks. Patterson wasn't going to let us off the hook.

I'm with you. In my opinion, the O has hurt us as much or more in the last two losses especially than the D. Watching both games (OU and TCU) with my 8 year old son, I keep telling him if the O can't get going and score the D wont be able to hold them off much longer....and it happened just as I said. I see a young, average D with potential and talent absolutely getting strung out over the first half to 3/4 of games until they tire, show their youth or the opposing teams O figures them out.
The D played first 2-3 quarters against TCU and OU to win if O could have been better.
There are more problems than this and I agree we have coaching, scheme, injury and motivation issues...but the O is a very glaring problem right now.
Dont get it twisted the D has plenty of issues, too.
Honestly, nothing looks right. And I'd say there is definitely something going on behind the scenes. The players body language etc tells the tale.

You guys sound like a bunch of Aggies

I thought at the start of the season we would go 8-4 with sure losses o OU and LSU and a couple more spread in. The conference is much improved. Baylor. Kansas, etc

Relax and enjoy the games for what they are—-a bunch of kids stomping each other for your entertainment. now it is going to get more dramatic

You people remind me of Aggies sometimes...........how in the hell is 2 recruiting cycles supposed to fix the clusterf**k that Charlie left us......esp when half the team leaves early for the pros or gets their little feelings hurt cause they aint playing enough and transfer......I am disappointed yes but to expect us to REALLY be significant on the national stage after 2 full cycles is insane.

    Agreed.
I hate for my second post on this site to be argumentative, but I have been lurking in this site for 20 years now because I got tired of the childish, knee-jerk reactions at the other sites.
Yes, we are in a tail-spin and it sucks, but fire Tom Herman?! That’s asinine.

That some of you are gnashing your teeth because Herman picked Sam over Shane is equally sad.

I’m not saying Herman is the next Saban, but it’s way too early for there to be talk about replacing him.

At lease now I know who to put on ignore.

Herman is making a stand with his assistants, and it's obvious he isn't going to make a change. I'm done backing the guy who has not lost faith in his DC or his OC. Anyone with half a brain can see changes need to be made and he is refusing to make those changes.

F him, if he can't do his job and right this, then he needs to go.

Hey I'm as unhappy and pissed off as most or all of you. We got issues and problems that need to be solved, but it's way too early to seriously consider and talk about firing TH IMO. Firing other asst. coaches .... I say fair game.

Someone should start a post called Keep Tom Herman! We’ll melt down Horn fans just like.........

Kidding, but we need to keep TH! He lost 5 DB’s and 1LB to injury. Before this season he lost 8 starters off this D to graduation or early Draft entry. Most of those players who left early got cut and have not flourished in the NFL. I don’t follow the NFL so if I’m wrong, sorry. I know constant change and personnel rotation is extremely difficult which is why TH preaches alignment. If we get J Whitt, BJ Foster, Sterns, & Thompson back in 2 weeks. Herman could turn this around. The team has to believe it though. It’s just soo easy to beat a team with a bad secondary. If you have a QB that can throw a deep ball. Anyway, keep Tom Herman. He’ll straighten this out eventually! Probably 2020.

    4 and 5.....spot on!!!
Take all our talent and make then look like RICE in an off year....really? KSU coaches had a scheme that worked against the o.u. (not so great defense)….WE make them look like the best defense that ever took the field in college football...
The defense is so frickn' hard to figure out....the thing they do the best is to get out of the other team's way....injuries....sure
