This week's schedule doesn't stack up to the last few weeks, but there are a number of games of interest.

Oklahoma vs. Baylor -- this is the headliner game in this part of the Nation. It also could have big implications for the Big 12 championship game. I think this is where Baylor's undefeated streak comes to an end. Look for the classic Big 12 high-scoring shootout. Neither team's defense can match up with the other's offense. OU comes closer to holding the opponent's O in check. Riley and co. prevail.

Kansas vs. Okla. St -- an improved Kansas isn't strong enough to beat a pretty decent OSU team. Cowboys by a few TDs.

TCU vs. Texas Tech -- the battle of West Texas. Or actually, the battle of West Texas (Tech) vs. North Texas (that claims to be West Texas—TCU)... TCU is the better team, but as you know, strange things happen up on the Plains when the weather gets cold. When Tech's O is on, they can light up the scoreboard. Look for it today. I'm taking Tech in the upset.

West Virginia vs. Kansas St. -- If Kansas St. holds West Virginia's defensive front in check, including their pass rush, they'll win. I think KSU is a better team by a little bit anyway. Plus they have the home field advantage.

Michigan St. vs. Michigan -- An intra-state grudge match. The Wolverines prevail in a classic Big 10 hard hitting blood bath in the trenches, and in the cold!

Navy vs. Notre Dame -- Here's a potential upset. Navy has been quietly putting together a very good season. They're up to #23 in the AP poll. It will be tough for the Middies to go into South Bend, especially late in the season. ND has been up and down and escaped with some close ones. Flip a coin on this one.

Wisconsin vs. Nebraska -- Another loss for the hapless Huskers, this one by a pretty fair margin. Nebraska gets a look at what they wish they were.

Minnesota vs. Iowa -- I'm pulling for Minnesota. Iowa is the toughest D they have faced all year, and we'll see what U. Minn. is all about today. Fortunately for the Gophers, the Iowa O is anemic.

Indiana vs. Penn St. -- Hoping for an upset. We can always hope. Wasn't that first ever Star Wars film where they destroyed the Evil Empire's Death Star called "A New Hope"...

So. Carolina vs. aTm -- aTm looks better on paper. On the field they look like evenly matched teams. As some have pointed out on these boards, Boom has the aggies’ number. The pitchforks come out if the ags go down.

Wake Forest vs. Clemson -- Clemson's obviously the better team, but this may be the best O Clemson has faced all year. Danger for Clemson today.

Georgia vs. Auburn -- Watch out dogs (of the SE)! Auburn with the upset. Auburn's solid D works over Ga's offense.

Stanford vs. Washington State -- The battered Pirate Ship may have a few salvos left to fire against a disappointing Stanford team.

UCLA vs. Utah -- On paper, this should be a blowout. But UCLA is either really good or really terrible this year, depending on which Bruin team shows up. If they're still in the game at halftime, this will be very, very interesting.

Ariz. vs. Oregon -- Ducks should smash the Wildcats, but this is such a weird league.

USC vs. Cal -- Trojans wrap the Bears. USC proves that, even when they suck (by their standards), they're still better than most of the PAC 12. Helton's a walking dead man, but this Trojan team isn't bad. They're not good, but they're not bad. The Bears have a very good pass rush. Other than that, the Trojans out match them significantly. Remember, this USC team is stacked with massive latent, underutilized talent.

Hawaii v. UNLV -- Hawaii QB Cole McDonald continues to light up scoreboards. Bows by a bunch.

 

Dumbass Baylor fans doing the horns-down. It'll be a weird game between two schools who share the same hand signal.

TCU off to a good start, 7-0. Tech defense is slow, slow. Can't catch the QB.

Looks like. Tech was getting hammered for awhile.

 

Tech is not that great of a team, but Duffy and that offense is always dangerous. Any given game, or quarter, they could catch fire. Sounds like most of the modern history of Texas Tech football.
