No one has started a thread, so I will. Just curious what the Hornfans audience thinks. I say Andrea Lloyd should be our head coach.

So strange - Texas is a turnover machine with a disjointed offense and can’t shoot threes.
    That’s different.

I know, so uncharacteristic of a KA coached team...

Great second-half adjustments however. Managed to cut the lead all the way....to 15.

Coming into the season I thought the front court would be the problem but in reality texas problem are the guards. Just to many turnovers and terrible shots

Defense is bad. Offense is bad. Very few bright spots at this point.

You have to work hard to let a player score 42 points (and there are still 4 minutes left).

7 plus years of crisp offense and brilliant in game adjustments. Texas is lucky to have such a fine basketball mind in charge, and then there is the stellar player development.

I dont understand why Aston has not made any adjustments. Granted she is an amazing player but she has not done anything to attempt to slow her down. This is just bad coaching this season. Aston had a good run but I think its time to move on and target a well known coach

Welp. Everybody wants you to win Coach Aston, but unfortunately you don’t seem to want to win.

Wow, UT women's basketball just keeps going downhill. They haven't done anything since '03-04. They're in the mediocre range now and certainly won't be ranked after this.

First time I have ever left a game early and probably will not renew my season tickets unless a change is made. I really like KA but I can no longer defend her. Recruiting is on a downward trend and you can’t deny that. The players look lost and no coaching is going on in game.

Going to be a long season... not even sure they look like a tournament team. I guess it’s a waiting game for CDC. How much losing/being average at best can he tolerate?

Time to give Aston a raise and extended contract, because that is what Texas does. We should be able to fill the new arena with no problem. Our offense is so dynamic...stand around and watch unless its your turn to go set a screen for the dribble...Just so creative. Can't wait to see Texas take on that weak team in Waco that lost their best players from last year. Time to take the conference title this year.

That was so hard to watch. Unless things turn around like now I really do hope Texas looks for a new coach because not only has recruiting gone down but the level of play has as well. Texas is getting this new arena so it seems del conte is investing pretty hard in the basketball programs so what good does a new arena do if you dont have a good team to play in it. If Aston can't get it done then bring in someone who can recruit and turn this program around hopefully before the new arena is built

It's refreshing to see a team execute good fundamental basketball on both ends of the floor and do more with less. It isn't fun being on the TOTAL OPPOSITE end of that equation, but I can certainly appreciate how well-coached that Arizona team is. I liked Barnes as a player, and her coaching is impressive as well.

Agreed, I’ve gone to bat for Coach Aston on here many times but as another poster said I can’t do it anymore.

Aston has lost the locker room! That did not look like Sug, Lashann or Joyner of old. Their heart was not in it! They have a non existent offense and don't have a clue how to hedge or play defense to keep a player from driving to the basket. They made McDonald look like an All American. I have tried to support Aston since she came but that's it until she is gone. Didn't buy season tickets this year in anticipation of this happening and will be watching my games on LHN in the future. This team will not make the NCAA tournament and be a bottom dweller in the Big 12. I really don't know if they will win half of their games. And if that's what it take to get rid of Aston so be it. I am so frustrated and disappointed. Sure hope CDC does something about it. Mediocrity should not be acceptable under any circumstances at Texas!

As everyone has said, that was a complete disaster with essentially no positive takeaways. Going to be a really long season. Will we ever win a 1st quarter?

Left at halftime. Super disappointing loss but more disappointing that it's not surprising. There was a time in the not so distant past that Texas truly had one of the top 10 staffs in the country. Player development was on the incline, All Americans wanted to be great, and we, the fans, wanted to root for the young women with Texas across their chest - despite the fact that the head coach clearly needed and still needs to develop other aspects of HER game. People are not showing up for games because it's too painful to watch. I hate the echo in the ERC. We know that unless we get a better coach we're just watching a horror show. And here's something nobody will want to hear -- Texas players are not engaged and they're not listening to KA bc they know they're on a sinking ship. The signs are there. The pimples can't be concealed. It's all too sad and infuriating to watch. Too many excuses from folks and not enough true accountability that translates to action. Yes we will beat RG-whoever and yes we will beat Southern - yet those wins will only accentuate the fact that when it matters most and when it's time to beat SOMEBODY meaningful that we won't likely have what it takes to get it done...again.

The only teams at Texas who seem to want to win are the mens basketball team. Still early in the season for them but they look good and well coached and of course the volleyball team who is absolutely dominating everyone who stands in there way. So those two teams are the only teams as of right now who have my full support. The football team was very disappointing and as of now the womens basketball team is very disappointing

I would love for Texas to get her but I don't think she would give up coaching in the nba to come to Texas so if Texas were to fire aston I would say jeff walz should be the first option

They have DEFINITELY gotten better, agree on this. They're better defensively and play like it actually matters. Shaka knows he has to deliver or he's out. Not even up for debate, MBB has to get better, they knew it and they've adjusted and gotten better.

Vic Schaefer would be mine and Jeff Walz next. Problem is Schaefer is an Aggie and I'd be willing to bet that may be is ultimate job... Gary Blair won't be coaching forever. Walz is a Kentucky boy so maybe he has no interest in leaving?:idk:

I like Ivey but you don’t know what you’re going to get from her. I KNOW what I’m getting with a guy like Walz although we don’t know if he’s actually obtainable.
