    The first evidence of a building going up is now visible:

    I hope they put the band back in the S End Zone so the entire stadium can hear 'em without speaker repeaters.

    . I hate those speakers. Really surprised how hard it is to hear the band with their current seating. We are aross the way in Sec 13 and can't hear them at all. But then when they were in the NEZ, we couldn't hear them at all either. Maybe my hearing is getting bad in my old age or the band just isn't as loud as good back in my days. HA!

    @LHABSOB

    we're in 104 ... almost opposite the LHB's current placement ... but then we get the repeater at least as loud on about a second/half delay (it's a long way across and up in there! :p ) ... the the GodzillaTron isn't rattling teeth with Hip Hop, that is. :(

    I'm not sure why the Alumni Band was placed in the NE bleed section ... especially when there were two VERY vacant section(s) on the east side lower level.

    It looks like the two empty sections on the lower east side were general admission student sections and the NEZ upper deck were the unused visitors seats section.

    In NEZ I could hear the alumni band great but, as I’ve complained before, not so well the LHB. The Jumbotron sux.

    the LHB used to be between the 20-40 on the East side, North....from there, everyone could hear them....in the END ZONE, they are too far away...imo

    Seattle,

    Can’t have the LHB and cheerleaders interfering with the Jumbotron or Bob Cole’s audition for rasslin

    yes but that was before the north horseshoe ... when the north end was open and the field had the track ... and it’s elevation was a dozen feet higher.

    I just remember I could hear them from seats in NEZ when in the SEZ and cannot hear them now. Stinks.

    Why are they not at field level at the 40 like in the old days?

    Oh, of course! Increased Revenue.

    Wasn't Hondo Crouch to meet his Mom at the Broken Spoke???

    Yes, Sir

    For those unfamiliar with Hondo, he was a fixture, part owner of Camp Longhorn, and man who purchased Luckenbach. He also coined the phrase, "Everyone is someone in Luckenbach". That's because if you visited there when he was there, Hondo would give you an OFFICIAL Luckenbach Title that no one else could have.

    As a student we would be on the east stand and the only reason I knew the band was playing was because people were clapping during the fight song or doing the hookem during the trumpet parts. Otherwise you couldnt hear the band for shite.
