Getting desperate?? The NFL confiscated the tape so there should be an answer one way or the other. NFL Investigating Patriots Over Allegations They Spied On Bengals
Why would ANYONE need to spy against the Bengals? Really, a ONE-WIN team? They couldn't even knock off Cleveland this weekend...
If indeed they were doing something they shouldn't at the Bengals' game, they are likely doing the same with every team.
Doesn't make sense. Why would they film a team whose total number of wins can be counted on one finger?
Lbs. of air in footballs, spy on other teams... Pats remind me of Switzer / ou in the old daze. Just win baby, cheat, spy, whatever it takes.... if you get caught deny, obfuscate, try to beat the rap.
The point is, if they are doing that to teams with one win, what do you suppose they are doing to better teams? The Patriots track record speaks for itself.
You are correct and this issue involving the Bengals has the potential to be merely the tip of the iceberg. So, if the league is involved or this gets into a courtroom, subpoenas and other court orders may (the word "may" dose not equate to "will") find other physical evidence of a widespread practice by the Pats. At that point, anything as far as a penalty is possible, but not necessarily probable. It's going to be interesting to follow and see how this plays out. My comment was one of surprise, that a powerful team like the Pats would find it necessary to engage in such activities involving a cellar-dweller team like the Bengals, which they should easily steamroll. They have game film of opponents, so why go make a "documentary" on them or any team? If the allegations of spying are proven true, then the activity is or was totally senseless on the Pat's part. I'll wait for the production of evidence and not rely on the sensationalism of mere news/sports reporters.
That is the equivalent of stealing signs by a camera in MLB and everyone knows that isn't allowed ......
