You are confused. The models using educated guesses are coming from the climate alarmist side.

This is a physics calculation. Physicists know how much IR is being transmitted to the earth. They know how much CO2 is in the atmosphere. They know how much IR can be absorbed by CO2. Plus it isn't all IR, it is a specific spectrum of IR that CO2 can absorb.

Is there some uncertainty in the measurements and the following calculations? Of course. But the uncertainty is way less than the model climate scientists use. The models used to predict significant temperature increase add uncertainty on top of uncertainty. And that error is never analyzed, admitted to, explained, or attempts made to reduce it.

Because they are stupid politicians. They are also all lawyers who have no ability to understand any of this, no disrespect to Deez or Joe Fan or others. But the guys in the government are all that plus if they get more power because of the climate narrative, what do they care? They want more power.

It will take people holding their feet to the fire and holding their hands along the way.

If you don't, it will only be 5-10 years until we get blackouts in Texas too. This summer the unreliable sources had Texas power the most expensive in the world. We somehow didn't get charged for it because electricity pricing is controlled by the government and is a morass. But if we had to pay the true cost we would have all turned our ACs off for a couple of months so that we could make our mortgage payments.

We really are playing with fire here. Cowtow to these green dictators much longer and we will all suffer greatly.

CO2 isn't pollution. It is the backbone of all life on earth (including H20). More of it, means more life not less.

Looks like Greta Thunberg was only able to get my electricity rate increased by about half a cent per kWh. (Just FYI - this is the tax free rate, and it doesn't include the tons of fees, including the €60 PER MONTH to "promote green energy.")

Logical talk about climate science. Turns out most of it rests on measurement error and statistics.

Thanks for posting that Joe. I had heard of the RICO cases from years ago but didn't know if they were still going or not. At least one of them is done.

Listened to an interview with John Christy. Very interesting. He is one of the guys in charge of creating the satellite measured temperature data set. He has a huge amount of knowledge about data collection and modeling. A list of his quotes over the years are in the link. Most important is the last graph showing IPCC model vs reality.

Another good article analyzing climate catatrophes, human's capability of dealing with them, and at the end again evaluation of climate models vs empirical data. He is a peer reviewed and very accomplished climate scientist.

The data should lead one to understand human beings are under no threat from climate change at this point in time.

‘Embrace the transformation’ to a carbon-neutral world by 2050, UN chief tells COP25

Detailing the need to “reduce emissions 45 per cent by 2030 from 2010 levels, achieve carbon neutrality by 2050 and stabilize global temperature rise at 1.5 degrees Celsius by the end of the century”, Mr. Guterres said the Paris Agreement must be used as “our multilateral path forward”.

Without achieving our climate goals, the Secretary-General maintained that only the richest would survive.
And because “we cannot continue to have one foot in both the grey and the green economies at the same time”, he underlined that developed nations must fulfil their pledges under the Paris Agreement to mobilize at least $100 billion dollars a year for mitigation and adaptation in developing nations.

There is no doubt in my mind that the goal is to force the US to pay trillions over the next few years. They will tax international transactions if they can. They will use tariffs and attach riders to treaties. They will attack our banks. They will go after our assets. We are the golden goose. And the Liberals will do the dirty work from the inside.

One day, International Law will retroactively cover climate change justice. The Liberals in the US will agree and lower any veil of immunity we currently possess as a sovereign nation. Ironically, China may be our greatest ally in this gambit as they are very concerned about their own sovereignty. They seem to cite this as their primary rebuttal to any accusations of human rights violations.

China will never be seriously pursued for climate change for the same reason nobody cared that Iran at least claimed to want to develop nuclear power. The "issue" is not the issue.

I bet there isn't extra flood insurance either because it isn't on a historical flood plain.
