Admittedly unimportant, but Big Ten standings weirdness

The Big Ten conference standings are interesting.

Michigan State is 1-0 and in first place; Northwestern is 0-1 and in last place. They play each other tonight.

The other 12 teams in the conference are 1-1 after their first two conference games, and none of these 12 teams plays tonight.

So if Northwestern pulls the unlikely upset of Michigan State, you'd have all 14 teams tied for first place in the conference at 1-1.

 

Interesting. Probably never happened before.

 

Also I believe the home team has won every conference game so far.

 

And this is why I love this board. There are many folks here like me who look at everything and find it interesting and worthy of discussion no matter how insignificant it may seem. Thanks!
