Now it's tOSU that's in "this drive or bust" territory. And they have to score a TD to win.

We got ourselves a football game, folks, in stark contrast to that cakewalk earlier today.

I wish Clemson would have run more clock once on FG range.

Can't blame him for scoring there but it might have been better to go down at the 1. But it's not like they could have just knelt three times and kicked the chip shot with no time remaining, so declining an available TD would be a gamble.

Turner had already read that pass and might have gotten it anyway. Would have been interesting to see what would have happened if Olave had kept going to the middle.

He had the corner beat but saw the safety waiting to take his head off and broke off the route. I think he would have scored had he stayed with it

I thought he had Dobbins for another easy 10 if he had dumped it off. Not sure i would have taken the shot there.

I guess I'll ask one more time. 1st the replay you are watching doesn't show well how the defender dropped his head as you're seeing more from the defenders back. The one from the side I saw more clearly shows how the defender dropped his head and actually does hit him with the crown of the helmet. In this replay you can see him drop his head, and then it pops back up. But it's much harder to see the targeting. The one from the side it was pretty obvious top of the helmet. Always dangerous to make a conclusive statement off of one angle.

I still think the two best teams in the country are the OSU and LSU, so I am disappointed I won't get to see them square off for the big prize. Clemson's offense is not nearly as good as LSU's, and I'm not convinced Clemson's defense is better than LSU's, so I think the championship game may turn out to be more one sided than an OSU LSU contest would have been. I'll still be watching, though. ;)

i saw it from multiple vantage points every replay espn showed every view and it looked like a clean hit to me. Even in real time it looked like a solid hit. You have to remember Lawrence is like 6’6 that db is like 6 feet even maybe. He didn’t jump and lung at the guy now how is he going to make contact with the crown of his helmet to Lawrence’s helmet without leaving his feet? You think I’m just using that twitter link for justification I’m not, it was just the only video I saw posted that showed the hit at that time

Apparently, losing a lot of your DB does hurt your defense. Who would have thought?

I realize nothing is going to convince anybody to change their view, one way or the other, but the fourth time he's hit on this set of replays is the clearest to me

Great game. We need more of these. Need to increase the playoffs from 3 to 4 teams rather than giving the #1 seed a bye.
