remember Fran Tarkenton talking how GREAT Chuck Foreman was a rb-- now, Herbie is doing the same re: his buckeyes vs Clemson--anyone getting the same vibe?

Herbie is just disgusting. No objectivity. Homer. But he’s ESPN’s golden boy. What a joke.

I don't like to see Herbie calling OSU games either, but, to be fair, OSU is giving him lots of ammunition tonight.

Herbie needs to shut his mouth and worry about letting Stevie Wonder pick out his wardrobe. Hard to believe someone with decent vision would be seen in public with what he wears. Rode the elevator with him at the LSU game. I was embarrassed for him.

Well, Herbie has two sons at Clemson as Preferred walk-ons and Mrs. Herbstreit is sitting in the Clemson section with Clemson colors.

Just saying he has interests in both camps. I have a Herbie Filter on my Audio anyway.

He has no self-awareness and because the suits at ESPN love him, he thinks that he knows it all. Cesspool Herbie. Too bad the Texas fans didn’t make him uncomfortable when he came to the 40 for the LSU game.

Todd Blackledge and Joel Klatt make him look like an amateur wannabe analyst.

He ask me how I could stand the heat. Wanted to know if it’s always “like this”. I told him no, come back in February for our two days of winter.

Sweat was pouring off his head and sweat stains on his suit coat.

Wow, guess I’m missing something. Herbie is fine to me. If ESPN makes a change, let Corso go please omg

    BA,

You should have the opportunity to sit down with Corso. The guy is hilarious, and I promise you he has strong opinions about some people you don't like. Off camera, he is funny and very outspoken.

I am sure he is or was, but seems like to me, he has lost a lot on his fastball. But maybe it’s just me. They punted Chris Fowler on Game Day when I thought he still had a fastball ... just saying

Corso has lost more than one step on the air, partly because of age, and partly because ESPN wanted to tone him down. He's still better than the FOX joke with Urban Myth, Leinhart, Bush (??). I can't watch Fox

Me too. I think he has been pretty impartial. I am not sure what game y’all are listening to. Unless you just hate him from the start before listening to him.

Back in my IT days, I worked with his brother's wife. She was smoking hot, but willing to do anything and anyone to make the sale. CompUSA loved her.

I gave you one example of his impartiality, the game he just called.

I have watched many games he has called and never had one thought that he was impartial.

Remember when Herb claimed Chris Rix is head and shoulder about the rest for his pre-season Heisman pick.

Result: Rix got benched the 6th game of the season. :lmao:

If you watched the Fox SC-Iowa pregame you saw Bush and Leinhart gushing with accolades for Helton and SC. Both were giddy and stressed the "fact" that Iowa was "good" but they had not faced an offense like SC.

Didn't see the show but that was the opinion of pretty much everyone at espn and several websites I checked few if any of whom went to USC.

Fox should know better than to use those two USC has-been clowns. As for Herbie, he works at hiding his bias, sometimes. He just cannot help himself and smart money takes him off all B-10 games.

I think the gold standard is Troy Aikman. He can call a Cowboy game with incredible objectivity.

Herbie doesn't bother me, except like most color analysts he talks too much for my taste. I've gotten to where I mute the TV when I watch most sporting events anyway. As for the pregame guys, who cares what they think? It's just an opinion, a way to fill air time and sell more beer. Totally irrelevant.

George Bailey No beans in my chili, thank you

Let's give Klatt some slack. He's still in concussion protocol.

Bingo. He strains to hide his bias, his homer obsession for tOSU and his clear dislike for Texas. It’s subtle, but clearly there.

Think about this: From where did the “cesspool” statement about Texas come? It came from his dislike for Texas and the fact that he saw an opening to knock us during the Strong days. It was an extraordinary inappropriate and insensitive comment intended to suggest that our fan base was — to use non-controversial language — unenlightened.

For the most part I do not even pay attention to who is announcing the games. Almost all of them stink. Their opinion and open mouth are all that matter and as for an objective call of a game it does not exist. Jabber while a play is happening and disagreeing with instant replay is the mo lately. Most of time I have games on mute and am using the computer between plays.
