Meh, Cox hasn’t played very much this year has she? IMO Smith is the most talented player on that team. As I said last year she’s a more polished, under control Joyner. But I do a agree that they have a couple of great players to go a long with some very good ones, but back to Texas. I think this is a 13-7 or 12-8 team in regular season conference play. They’ll get into the tournament as 9 or 10 seed and depending on the matchup could lose in the first round or get to the sweet sixteen.

You have your opinion and I have mine but Cox is for sure NOT the best player in the nation. Lol it seems like some people in this thread may be undercover Baylor fans or starting to convert to Baylor fans. Dont say it's being realistic either because it's not. Everyone said the same thing when Texas played Stanford and Tennessee and look how that turned out. I just don't see what everyone else sees in Baylor. I will be rooting for the horns regardless of everything because im not one of those fans who only root for a team when they are winning and shut them out when they are not

There are only 18 games in conference play and I agree to a 10-8 conference record. That would give us a 18-12 record going into the Big 12 tournament. There we win one and lose one. So 19-13. Maybe a NCAA tournament bid? With Big help from wins over Stanford and Tennessee.

Cox is only two games back from a foot injury. May be a little rusty....She may not be the best player in the nation, but she surely isn't playing at her best right now. Baylor did take out U Conn at their place, so they gotta be darn good. Texas beating Stanford and losing to TCU is not puzzling. They play like the Men's team... If they are shooting well they have a chance to beat just about anyone, but when shots aren't falling they can lose to anyone. Foul trouble also plays a huge role.

I was watching the highlights of the game and from the clips it looked like Charlie was just a half a step late defensively and that offensive rebound by West Virginia was huge and can’t happen if you’re Texas. It also looked as if Martinez the transfer that was signed to Texas got some playing time for West Virginia.

As much as I LOATHE that damn Jerusalem On The Brazos, I can't say that I don't respect (and even admire) what's been done with that program over the past 20 years. The greatness is, unfortunately for us, undeniable. We need a change.

Not understanding the fascination with Baylor right now, concentrate on the next game.

They're the standard by which we (and all other Big XII teams) are measured.

I’m not arguing with you. I’m just wondering why you seem unable to post anything without mentioning them? It seems oddly obsessive especially considering it’s on thread after thread about games that don’t involve Baylor.

Probably because I am thinking in terms of us ACTUALLY being able to even challenge for a Big XII title which, aside from ONE year we have failed to do. We had a small window of opportunity when we beat them a few years back, but then lost to them and ISU on our home court. The gap between our program and theirs is getting wider and wider, and they are who we ALL have to go through to the conference title... that's what makes everything we do about them.

Time to learn how to finish games. Charli and Joyner need 15 to 20 every night if we're going to win.

I agree that they need to finish games, but I also believe they need to show up in the beginning. Lately, they seem very sluggish out of the gate.

I agree foul trouble is a problem for us but there were some terrible foul calls in that game against WVU and honestly uconn is not that good to me either they may have been undefeated but lets look at there schedule it was not tough at all. Don't get me wrong baylor is good but they are not what everyone is making them out to be. I like our chances against them and I don't believe Texas will be blown out. The key for us is how we start. Texas 2nd half play is almost an automatic turn on switch so if they hang with baylor in the beginning and score then we will be good. If we are talking about teams around the country I believe the team who will make a run in the tournament is Arizona state but that's irrelevant right now all I am focused on is our next game vs Texas tech which will not be an easy game neither

For decades, women's college basketball fans demanded "parity." It's arrived this season.

I’m happy to let this go. But just one more try at making my point. Not sure if it’s the delivery or the receiver...

We understand small, Arthur. Nobody is arguing that point. Just questioning the repetitive nature. This is the team we have. Like it or not. Constantly posting about another team (as opposed to other teamS) is the question.

We played WV and the post is about Baylor. We played ISU and the post is about Baylor. We played TCU and the post is about Baylor. I mean you can post about whatever the hell you want - I’m simply pointing out the obsessive and sophomoric nature of repeating the same post ad nauseam. Are you two hoping we will all heap accolades on Baylor? Is that your end game? Just seems odd to me especially when you play the victim every time someone points it out.

That’s it. That all I’ve got. Go Horns. Beat the Bears... if you can... and if you can’t then how about we color this board green and post 24/7 about another team. :rolleyes1::whiteflag:

I appreciate the exchange between us... As I'm not trying to argue either. There's enough of that going around on this site. I did not intend for my comments to be inflammatory not did I take yours as such.

I understand your position, my only reason for mentioning THE GREENS is because I want so desperately to overtake them... but we're sliding further and further away instead. One thing you and I definitely agree on is our love for the UT program.

"Tynice Martin missed her first nine shots and went 1-for-12 for the game..."

Mike Carey, WVU's coach, had a somewhat less graphic response to the same question. "It's effort," he said. "I was concerned after the Texas game with no days off. We started off missing shots and we quit playing."WVU women's hoops falls in deflating fashion 73-49 to Oklahoma

    Take credit, Longhorns?
