As you can see nobody agrees with you. I dont care how long you have been a ticket holder or a Texas fan. It seems like you are tired of being a longhorn fan so if that's the case you can go elsewhere. We don't need you here. Texas fans are all about Texas and you seem to be an op so cancel all your season tickets because your not a true fan. Honestly I don't care about you or sedona im worried about the team and people who want to be at Texas and the game they have against USF at 6 p.m

ONCE AGAIN, since your feeble little mind can't grasp it.. You don't represent all Texas fans NOR do you tell me what to do. SO...I'm not sure what you mean by WE!!! GOT IT??? I have many UT friends who don't feel the way you do. All I said was not to vilify the girl. I didn't take sides nor did I trash anyone. I sit in Section 21, Row 6 and I have no intention of giving those up. I don't have to hide behind a keyboard to express how I feel. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm watching the game as I just got home from work and we have taken the lead. Goodnight....

So, let me see if I understand this. She felt unsafe, neglected and at one point feared she might lose her leg outright. Then she transfers and needs a waiver so she can compete for her new team immediately. I’d say she got some pretty good medical care at some point.

I said I couldn't do it which means I can't take it because of what happened last season. Im going to support them regardless but its disappointing. Thats wtf I meant so before you go stalking around about what Im saying make sure you know what the hell you talking about. Say less because its nothing but a word.

How a player feels is perception and perhaps it is or is not reality. We cannot second guess how she felt here. I am sure surgery and rehab is a lonely and frightening process and I hope our school did what it could to help her. It is possible when a team is focused on preparing for games, the injured player feels left out. If there is a scintilla of truth, we need to improve and make this a teaching moment. But, if this is all about the transfer portal and the need to say things to become eligible immediately, that is when all of us feel that the NCAA is corrupt.

this thread, just as many others, seems filled with baseless bullies, maybe some former brats and many wanna be coaches that 'know they can do better' than the one's that are in battle every day......ain't a piece of cake!

Maybe this is really about political party garbage. Sounds about the same as it relates to maturity and respect.

Just curious how, for example, Braxton Miller plays at Okie State last season and transfers to Ohio State and gets granted a waiver. Then this kid, who didn't play one tick of the clock last season, is not granted a waiver.

Then there was Jessica Shepherd who was granted a waiver in her transfer to Notre Dame a couple of years ago, but then Evina Westbrook wasn't this year in transferring to Notre Dame. There were also two transfers to Florida State in recent years (one from KSU) who were granted waivers. The NCAA needs some consistency regarding these situations. Either allow all or allow none.

Ahem, Westbrook transferred to UConn. We can be certain that she'd already be playing if she'd transferred to Notre Dame.

I like that student-athletes can leave a program that's not a fit just as coaches can choose not to renew a scholarship or recruit a player -- but I HATE that the transfer portal life turns mostly decent folks into liars so they can get their way. Hope Prince has a solid college career.

That would be a weird situation, but something tells me that Graves wouldn't be interested. Look what he's built at Oregon and the class he has coming in next year. I bet he's on the verge of a huge salary increase, if not Oregon doesn't deserve to keep him. Anything is possible, and he'd sure be a great hire, but I think he's at Oregon for the Long haul.

Well you know there was this other Oregon coach that didn't get the raise he wanted and now he's sitting at Texas...

(Transfer rules make that one more difficult though.)

So this is why she left Texas? Because they wouldn’t pay her medical bills?

    Boo boo

Did she get hurt while playing at or for Texas? I’m going to guess her travel and medical bills came out to way more than 22k. Who paid that?

I have no doubt - none - that if that bill is UT’s responsibility it would have been paid without question. More likely, considering her other accusations, she went outside the system and did something she shouldn’t have done knowingly or not. If that is the case, UT couldn’t pay under NCAA rules. It seems to be a sad situation but UT wouldn’t screw a student athlete over a medical bill. It just wouldn’t.

Seems that way. Considering her age, I’d place the blame on the parent(s) but that is pure speculation on my part. If this was an actual thing - it would happen more frequently based on the number of injuries that happen during any given season for any given sport at any given university. It seems much more likely that she went outside the approved treatment plan and/or medical system and suddenly found herself with a bill which she then couldn’t pay or refused to pay thinking the University would only to discover the University can’t. Again speculating here but she opened herself up for speculation the moment she posted this on Twitter.

I sincerely hope she is able to move on and have a successful bb career for Oregon.
