I thought David Klingler and Graham Harrell had used up their eligibility.

247 now does not like our chances with RB Kevontre Bradford

MikeRoach - I just left Lancaster high school where I saw some underclassmen and checked in on Kevontre Bradford. Texas is working hard for an OV, but it sounds like LSU is the team to beat. If Bradford makes it out of his official visit to Baton Rouge uncommitted, Texas might still have a fighting chance. That said, it’s going to be a monumental task to land Bradford at this point.

And Dixon has scheduled another OV for Jan 31 (to UH)

Got to impress upon him the need to visit Texas. Tell him Texas can even turn on the AC if he so wishes.

If Texas cannot beat UH in Dixon's mind, so be it. I have faith in Keontay's advice.

So who we getting? I'm betting on Collins and Dixon. That's it unless there's a grad transfer in there somewhere.

He wants to play and thinks he is good enough. The rumor is that there has been some grumbling regarding whether we give out WR PT based on merit. The issue seems to surround whether Epps in particular deserved all of his PT last season. But we have a new WR coach now so it should be easy for him to address.

As long as PT is not awarded based on height, he should be fine.

Oh yeah, do not forget to look at the school. It is what is most important.

Yeah. He's one of those guys that wont take responsibility for his mistakes, but will blame everyone else on the team. Maybe a few solid hits in games will take some of that out of him, but that's very doubtful.

He was QB at LSU that beat Texas in the Cotton Bowl in early 60s and later OC at aTm, After they fired him, David hired him. There were loud objections to his hiring, but those were drowned out by the uproar of laughter coming from Brazos County.

Loved to publicly throw players under the bus. There were worse things that he did which I won’t put in print. Just say that I challenged him live on Ed Clements Show on KLBJ one time and openly called and proved he was lying when he threw our players under the bus.

I also offered a “reward” to any major school that would hire him after we fired him and I assured him he would be fired. He wound up getting a job at Eunice HS after a several month political battle in the town with the majority of the parents not wanting him.

He was David McWilliams' OC at Texas 1989-1991. IIRC he blamed the players for any problems instead of accepting any responsibility.

David McWiiliams was the Head Coach at the University of Texas at Austin from 1987 to 1991. He also was a Center and played some DT from 1961-1963.

Yes, he has a National Championship Ring.

I think the pejorative comment by Sabre was directed at the OC, not the HC.

Absolutely correct. But the reference was to Lynn Amadee David's OC at UT 89 - 91.
