It's scary to see virtually everything the Dems support.

This is how Trump can win. Like I said in a previous thread, if it's a choice between Trump and lunacy, people will choose Trump.

Hell, this is how real dictators get elected and tolerated.

Democrats don't understand how badly this kind of thing hurts their chances. Hillary lost for a lot of reasons, but one of those was her promise to stop deportations of all non-violent criminal aliens. That is effectively an open border policy, and people could see that. It was insane. The party and its candidates could have backed away from that, but most of the candidates really haven't. In fact, they've embraced taxpayer-funded healthcare for anyone in the world who is able to get across our border. Now we're seeing something even more extreme coming from Capitol Hill. And it isn't just a lone crackpot filing a bill. If it was, we could easily dismiss it, but it has 43 cosponsors.

I don't think a bill like that would actually pass the House even with Democrats in charge. However, if a President Buttigieg, Sanders, or Klobuchar were to win, there would be tremendous political pressure to push a similar agenda administratively. We'd very likely see rules changes to gum up the immigration courts, inhibit border security, roadblocks to deportation, etc.

I’m sure San Antonio congressman Joaquin Castro is a cosponsor. Those lunatics (him and his brother) were raised by their mother to see the Alamo as a symbol not of courage and Texas pride but of white colonialism. They’d give the Southwest U.S. back to Mexico if they could.
