Thanks. FWIW, my youngest of four kids turns 6 in 2 weeks. We’ve been giving away the baby stuff, which is a little sad. Maybe I should have asked when Deez jr is going to have a baby sibling to keep the stay-at-home thing going.

I understand representatives disagreeing with court rulings but the threats and drawing of political lines is what I'm talking about. They have no regard for our Constitution or our institutions. None whatsoever. They are about gaining complete power without balance or regard to the minority which once cornered will be considered a hate group and not a legitimate voice and segment of the American people.

I may have been a bit dramatic in my rhetoric lately but these people are clearly out for blood. And I despise them because I've come to realize that I actually care about what happens to our country.

I think it has been noted before that Deez posting pictures of his German beer collection is definitely not cool!

Honestly I don't think it provides a lower return yet. Obviously when he was a baby, that's when he needed me for his most immediate and basic needs - couldn't eat, couldn't move, couldn't take a dump, and couldn't sleep without my help. That was more of a full time job than any full time job I've ever had. Furthermore, even though he was enjoyable to be with and certainly had many exciting moments, there was no intellectual engagement, because he couldn't talk.

Now he can generally take care of his immediate needs (with a few hiccups mixed in which he occasionally still needs my help). However, he needs my help in other ways. He is in kindergarten and is not homeschooled, but he is still with me a lot and looks to me for learning about things he sees. He is obsessed with math and geography (as I was at his age), and when he's not in school, he needs someone to talk about it with him. It helps him learn. When he's trying to learn how to navigate social situations with other people (kids or adults), he asks me. When he needs help reading or learning new words, he asks me. When he needs someone to help him memorize Bible verses for his church program (called AWANA), he looks to me. I also volunteer for AWANA and help other kids on Wednesday nights. And of course, all of this is intellectually engaging. It's not the same as discussing law and politics at a professional level, but it does engage my intellect.

And I'll admit something about being a lawyer. It isn't always very intellectually engaging. I was constantly talking to supposedly intelligent adults, and though there were some novel cases and issues, it was pretty repetitive. The cases often had pretty similar fact patterns. Much worse, I had to have the same boring arguments and the same pissing matches with the same insurance adjusters and defense lawyers. How many times do I have to haggle and go to court over the admissibility and discoverability of an injured person's immigration status? How many times do I have to go to court because some defense lawyer wants to argue to a judge why he should have records of a dude's prostate exam when he's only claiming a shoulder injury? After kicking the same people's asses 30 or 40 times in a row over stupid **** like that, you'd think they'd give up and come up with new stuff to fight over. They don't. Well, that stops being intellectually stimulating after awhile and starts being an annoying chore. Explaining to Deez, Jr. how to do basic arithmetic, helping him learn John 3:16 and what it means, where Botswana is, or why Germany used to be "bad guys" but is now at least generally "good guys" might be very basic stuff, but it's new to him. Furthermore, it's for an important reason. That makes it a lot more intellectually engaging than having to argue with the same defense lawyers for the 20th time why the herpes sores on my female client's butt crack aren't relevant to her spinal injury just because he's getting low on his billable hours and has to take somebody to court over something.

Will I go back to work in the UK? I might. I'm looking into what it would take to practice law there, and I'm looking into ways to do US work remotely. However, even with Deez, Jr. in school, I stay pretty busy. Routine errands take much more time over here, and Mrs. Deez has had some health issues lately that have required my help quite a bit. I don't have a lot of "sitting around" time, and so long as we're overseas and Mrs. Deez has a good job, I'm always going to prioritize my family over any job I might find.

Another "we're so much more righteous and better than Republicans are" article. Link. To them, they're righteous because they are defeating Sanders. (Of course if Bernie had won, they'd be commending themselves for "listening to their voters.")

And there are some pretty big differences. First, the Democrats have superdelegates, so it's much easier for them to overcome insurgent candidates. Second, they don't have winner-take-all primaries, so Bernie's early wins didn't become insurmountable. Third, Trump's constituency votes. They were older voters, who are militant about voting. Bernie's constituency is young people who seldom vote. Bernie isn't losing to Biden as much as he's losing to weed, porn, and video games.

It's a little surprising they still let Biden out when they dont have to
In these clips above, he was on a clear minutes restriction and he still could not get through it without a series of gaffes and bungles (there were even more oops than is shown is these two clips above)
I bet his people start hiding him more and more -- I wonder if even he knows he has to stop speaking in public as much? He probably knew yesterday but forgot it today. I think he is even screwing it up with the aid of a teleprompter, which is pretty amazing
Rmbr Hillary towards the end of the 2016 election? They barely let her go anywhere. Their risk assessment was letting her out in public was riskier than just having her coalesce in some quiet, safe place. Corrupt pollsters told them she was winning, so why risk it?
I bet they are going to start that with Joe now
Anyone want to bet me on this prediction?

It was not that long ago that Harris was blaming Biden for teaming with racist Dems during his career in the Senate

Are there enough acceptable high level jobs for Joe to bribe that will offset his dementia campaign?

In same 7 mins He also screwed up the name of North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un.

While speaking to a small crowd, Biden was talking “tough” about “evil rulers,” when he couldn’t seem to get his mouth and his brain to work in synch and referred to King Jong-un as “Cum Jong-un.”

The hypocrisy, sanctimony, staged outrage and lying is at an all-time level in the modern era. It has grown because the emotional hang-ups of far too many Americans has been enabled and encouraged.

I just watched a topless climate change protest on London bridge, that I cant post. The reporter asked one of them at the end, "Howsit going out here today?' Woman holding sign over her head says, "Pretty cold to tell you the truth."

Years ago The Smiths released an album called Meat is Murder. You can't negotiate with these people. They are locked-in. They are consumed with their obsessions. And they are Liberals.

Thats very bad news for the Dems. Sounds like Bernie is not going to be a good little soldier this time. I have a feeling the convention is going to be very ugly for them.

Deez, did you steal from this line from NR?

Poor Bernie Sanders! The youth vote failed to show up for him. The youth vote always fails to show up — it will break your heart every time. Senator Sanders didn’t lose to Joe Biden — he lost to Tinder, weed, and The Resident. The kids were doing themselves a favor — young people have more of a future for Senator Sanders and his coterie of socialist dingbat malefactors to ruin.

Politics (difficult, I admit) and personality (Morrissey seems like a grade-A *******) aside, this is a fantastic album from probably one of the greatest singles bands of all time.

Now back to our regularly-scheduled political screeds...

Totally agree about The Smiths. They were an incredible band and at such a young age. Johnny Marr was 24 years old when they broke up! Isn't it amazing what he accomplished on the guitar in that short period of time. I love that guy. He is a very down to earth chap who loves to talk music. I saw him in concert two years ago here in Austin. I definitely wasn't taking a shot at the art.

There is a saying I once read:

"Trust the art; not the artist"

We're not bound by their personal manner or beliefs; but we are drawn by their creations. That is where I leave it.

mchammer, I read that too. Kevin is a good Texan and TexasEx from Lubbock.

He has written several articles detailing the dirty history of Biden. He is a vicious politician who has pushed the boundaries of accepted political action for decades. He is a crook. He is Establishment. I really want to see a debate with Trump vs Biden. I think Trump will have a good time with him. Or Bernie. I think Trump will use the debates as his personal roast of whoever is the Democratic candidate.
