This could put a big spotlight on the mayor of Milwaukee. I dont know who that is but I do know who the mayor of Chicago was in 1968 when all hell broke loose at the Dem Convention. Mega-corrupt Richard J. Daley (who played a role in getting JFK into the White House) was not going to take any crap from any stinky hippies and had his police literally cracking heads all over the place. Will we see a repeat?

Not sure where to put this but the situation with Saudi Arabia F*CKING us needs to be front and center. I'd put air strikes on the table of their oil fields/production capabilities if they don't shut the tap off.

Good points. The very slackers they count on for votes are too slack *** to go out and vote.

Many of them are. And we're not talking about mental giants here. Anyone under 35 who votes for a politician who opposes major reforms to Social Security is a colossal idiot, but they do it all the time. They're willing to take hundreds of thousands of dollars from their retirement and wipe their asses with it. But that's what living for weed, porn, and video games will do to you.

James Biden is facing fraud allegations. He used family ties to advance his business interests

"The Federal Bureau of Investigation raided a health care business linked to Joe Biden’s brother in late January, seizing boxes of documents.

The raid of an Americore Health hospital represented a deepening of the legal morass surrounding James Biden’s recent venture into health care investing at a time when questions about the business dealings of Joe Biden’s relatives, and their alleged connection to the former vice president’s public service, continue to dog his presidential campaign.

In the weeks since the raid, two small medical firms that did business with James Biden have claimed in civil court proceedings to have obtained evidence that he may have fraudulently transferred funds from Americore “outside of the ordinary course of business,” and a former Americore executive has told POLITICO that James Biden had more than half a million dollars transferred to him from the firm as a personal loan that has not yet been repaid....."

I believe the "wealth effect" is enormous. People pull back with this kind of shock. Their confidence in the future is taking an enormous hit. Saving at the gas pump is very minor to me. This is not an orderly process of supply and demand. It is an attack on our country by any other means than war.

Economists think oppositely. In other words, the wealth effect is minimal and the impact of lower energy costs is significant.

I guess I stand alone. It's me against all economists. I'm not in bad shape, since I consider them to be as competent in their predictions as meteorologists.

    LOL

Damn, I went over the wall, out of the trench, into the breach and I got nobody behind me!!!!!

I seriously wonder how many of these people expect Joe Biden to die in office should he become president; thus the mad rush to bend the knee to get the VP slot.

Certainly it has to be in the equation, right?

Can the Dems' latest scheme to legally buy votes "Medicare for All" coexist with open immigration? I would suggest not. I would even suggest simple arithmetic says it's impossible.

Quick review. Medicare was enacted in 1965 to provide health insurance to people age 65+ regardless of income or medical history. Prescription drugs were EXCLUDED from the bill. The Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) administers it, and CMS is a department within HHS.

George W Bush came along in 2000 with a Hope and Change matra. A segment of the voting population wanted change to Medicare. He gave it to them.

In 2003, the Drug and Health Industry industry spent a combined $141M on lobbying for the new bill (a record at the time). They deployed ~1,000 lobbyists to push industry interests in the GWB reform. 431 of those lobbyists previously worked for the Federal government. And 30 of those were former Senators and Reps.

The new law was passed with a trick and in violation of House Rules, giving members less than 24 hours to read the 850-page document. A final vote was called ~ 3 am. Rep. Louise Slaughter (D-NY) said at the time that the “Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement, and Modernization Act” was the "worst abuse of the legislative process I have seen during my 20 years in Congress.”

The big winners were the lobbyists. They STOPPED the Govt from using all of its Medicare enrollees as brute force to negotiate for Rx pricing. And they STOPPED the re-importation of drugs made in the US by US companies, and then sold to countries that do negotiate. In other words, the same drugs, but cheaper.

So, whatever you think of Obamacare and the way it was passed, dont forget about what changes W Bush made to Medicare.

Another pull quote from the same Politico piece on the Biden Family Business --

James Biden laid out his vision for the fund’s future. “Don’t worry about investors,” he said, according to the executive, who spoke on the condition of anonymity. “We've got people all around the world who want to invest in Joe Biden.”

And speaking of Obamacare, one of the better concurrent quotes about it back then was from Bill Clinton (of all people) --

" ... crazy system where all the sudden 25 million more people have healthcare and then the people are out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half”

Now think about those working stiffs and their 60 hours when they realize that the Democrats want them to hump it even harder to pay for "Medicare For All" for every third world immigrant who wants to walk across our Open Border.

Even Bernie Madoff laughs at this ponzi scheme
