I just cancelled my SW flights to KC for the tournament. Thank goodness for SW no penalty for cancelling. Hotel Phillips charged me a one night stay penalty for cancelling. I don't like it but I'm OK with it. Welp looks like I'll be at home enjoying the games. But I'm still taking off work Thursday and Friday!

Think it was too late in the game to do this to the city of KC. All the people there are now going to congregate at the Power and Light District, which kinda defeats the purpose.

    I feel for everyone affected.

I've been upset for a while that the Big 12 moved the women's tournament one week later than when it had been played the last few years simply to coincide with the men's tournament; if only they'd left things alone . . .

The NBA just suspended all games after a Utah Jazz player tested positive. Wouldn’t be surprised now if NCAA doesn’t follow them. At this point I don’t even know if we will play again this year.

NBA season has now been suspended!

I also was going to the Big 12 tournament. I wasn't ready to say goodbye to this team yet.

I'm not sure what to say; obviously, everyone's health is more important than sports.

Check the latest news - Big 12 (and most other) conference tournaments have been suspended/cancelled. Likely NCAA tournaments will be suspended/cancelled also.

Wow...just wow. One can only hope the containment is successful in combating this virus.

I'm bummed but, basketball aside, I'm more concerned about world health and certainly understand the precautionary steps.

You should be able to get the hotel to refund you that one night penalty. Be persistent; call the hotel directly, or the national chain customer service number, whichever you haven't done.

I agree everything should be shut down as a precautionary measure. I'm not knocking anything that has happened to protect us. Ok now that the disclosure stuff is out of the way.

So what's everyone doing to fill that March madness void? Man I didn't realize how consumed I was over March madness. My besties and family are calling and checking on me. :lmao:

Taxes and spring cleaning for me.

I think sports consumes most Americans which why I’m glad that I stopped following sports like I used to. The UT sports are really the only sports that I follow.
