Facts don’t care about your feelings. When you and your fellow emotional partner in crime began crying regularly on here is when the board became horrible and that’s a Fact. And stop with the tough guy bs, you’re talking to a 37 year old male that doesn’t care about you being willing to hash anything out face to face.

NEWS BULLETIN to Kurupt.....I've been posting on here WAY longer than you have even been a member. And while I have certainly have had disagreements over the years with others over the program, etc., it has never reached the point that it has with you and Moooooo. YOU teeter back and forth on a see-saw, changing your mind from day to day. First you defend Aston, then you think it's time for a change, then when you THINK she may be staying, you are SUDDENLY all for it and pathetically trying to rub it in to no avail. As I have stated over and over, it's out of our hands. We don't have a say in it, and have to accept what CDC decides whether we like it or not.

I'm a 63 yo male and don't need to hide behind a keyboard to say what I think or how I feel. MOST on here know who I am. Without fail, almost everything I have ever said or any opinion I have ever shared, you and Mooooo disagree with and viciously attack anyone who doesn' share your sentiment. So forgive me if I'm underwhelmed by your false bravado and cyber bullying. Just like Brnkj, I'd be happy to meet ANYTIME and discuss it face to face. I'm not afraid to express how I feel openly and honestly and I don't need to HIDE behind a keyboard to do it....

"Viciously attacked", huh? That is something a couple of posters have conjured up as a weak defense mechanism whenever their posts don't hold water. If that had truly occurred, the moderators of this board would have stepped in. Time to give that broken record a rest.

Disagreeing with someone's post is not viciously attacking them. Listing facts to contradict someone's erroneous and unresearched statements is not viciously attacking them.

I've been told over and over again by a select few on here that everyone is free to post their opinions on this discussion board; the same holds true for replying to any posts.

WTF ever.... YOU pathetically attempt to demean and bully ANY person who does not agree with you 100%, mostly doing nothing more than slobbering senseless drivel. I personally could give a LOVELY )))) what you think.

@Moooooo .......you flatter yourself to think that I care in any way about anything you have to say or think about me...... And it is this exact type of arrogance and false bravado that is the reason most on here don't take anything you say seriously!!! A bitter ole HAS BEEN trying desperately to be relevant and failing over and over again. Your entire credibility went in the CRAPPER when you got caught in an outright LIE about being asked to be a moderator. You were embarrassed, HUMILIATED, and EXPOSED for that falsehood. Perhaps I'd be bitter too if I got publicly shot down in a pathetic attempt to be relevant and exposed...must have been so unnerving for you!!! Sorry, but I've had stiffer competition from 5th graders.....

What is the argument even about... I am sure everyone is here for knowledge about Texas women's basketball not about arguments. I am tired of coming here and looking at pages and pages of pointless arguments. Can we get back to the whole point of this thread and stop with all the other bull****:brickwall:

This board has been the most toxic one on Hornfans for almost as long as I can remember; that's 15 years at least. Every board always has critics of staff but consistently this one has always had a few vocal ones (though names have changed through the years) who gratuitously jam their complaints into as many threads as possible and rarely post anything else.

Everyone is entitled to voice their perspectives. After all, it's a "forum." It's when those who have been attacked get fed up and attack back that things get carried way to far away. Personally, I'm thankful for the warning @Dionysus. I can roll my eyes when I see a mere opinion that I don't agree with or think is outright stupid, but others can't seem to do the same. A hit dog will only holler so many times before he bites. Again... appreciate the warning from the moderator.

What did I miss? A warning from the moderator that was lonnnnng overdue? A few more bitter comments from posters who think they can become President of this Forum by repeatedly pecking the Poop button on posts where the author doesn't care about your poop anyway? <Insert Side Eye> Jeez, wake me up when we have a new women's basketball coach. :hookem:

Golden’s nuggets: In light of outbreak, Del Conte mum on Smart, Aston
Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte knew before the season started that he would have a difficult decision to make with the men’s and women’s basketball programs once their respective seasons ended.

...Aston, in the final year of her contract, didn’t get an extension in the preseason so it was obvious Del Conte was waiting to see what her team was going to do before making his decision. The 19-11 season and third-place finish in the Big 12 wasn’t great, but it also wasn’t bad, either.

Her starting point guard, Sug Sutton, missed most of the weeks leading up to the season while on the injured list. We saw improvement from senior forward Joyner Holmes and sophomore post Charli Collier, but Texas didn’t always show up against lesser opponents like last-place Kansas, which ran the Horns out of Lawrence by 15 points.

Worse yet, Aston continues to be dogged by the fact that her teams haven’t answered the bell against national power Baylor — aside from a 2017 upset in Waco — but then a lot of coaches can say the same thing. Baylor is that great.

The question CDC has to answer is do you care enough about women’s hoops to bring in a high-dollar coach, all the while knowing that Kim Mulkey remains at the top of her game right up the street? Do you give Aston two more years to see if she can develop youngsters like Collier and Celeste Taylor into cornerstones that will one day end Baylor’s reign of terror in the Big 12? Or do you bring in someone else?

Only CDC knows and he’s not telling. Sooner or later, we’ll know the fates of the coaches, but on March 19, 2020, the priorities lie elsewhere. “We have a lot bigger issues to fry right now,” Del Conte said...

Golden's nuggets: In light of outbreak, Del Conte mum on Smart, Aston

My preference is for Karen Aston to stay on.

On a dreary day in Dallas, contemplating a new coaching approach. I am on season 3 of 5, episode 19 of the remastered The Twilight Zone on Netflix. Lots of good episodes on robots and time machines and isolation/loneliness and hell/heaven and related that inspire me and suggest new approaches to this coaching delima. So combining that with our current health situation....I am pondering and suggesting a “virtual coach” be any replacement as UT WBB coach. With quarantining, empty arenas, and plenty of coaching ideas/suggestions from this and other threads I’ll bet we could come up with the perfect coach. My inspiration is from “the perfect country song” You Never Even Called Me By My Name by Edgar Allen Coe. Instead of Momma, trains, prison, rain, and pickup trucks........ we simply substitute all the suggestions of us experts and program em into the circuitry of our perfect virtual coach. Things like great recruiter every year of McDonald’s All-Americans, good with offense, expert on zone defenses, perfect substitution patterns, best developer of talent, no transfers out, winning record and culture, excellent in post game press conferences, loved by all players/parents/fans/media, no paycheck/contract..... you get the idea .....would be base programming. We could add some dip switches to frequently change genders or clothes or personalities at the whim of the steering-coaching committee from this forum. We could park this virtual coach on a server in Hornsfans basement or on The Drum center court sideline. Practices could be organized and performed by mini-robots as assistant coaches. Games could be managed by parking an iPad Pro on a seat by the players and all communications verbalized by a huge speaker looking like BEVO. Instantaneous in-game coaching decisions by consensus of polled TV watchers and communicated by 4-20 mA transmitter inside basketball to server to iPad. No yelling at players allowed. Yelling at ALL referees encouraged. The best might be all communications disconnected at final horn so no handshakes with Mulkey. Pre-programmed automatically generated post-game twitter posts to recruits are quick and easy. Batteries recharged that night so the Virtual Horns Coach is ready to tackle the WBB World each new day. Downside....nothing to complain about on Hornsfan. It’s lunch.

Charlie Creme has 10-seed Texas losing in a hypothetical NCAA tournament first round to 7-seed Arizona State. While Baylor, TCU, and Iowa State continue dancing into the second round. And the Bears repeating as national champions.

Who wins BPI's women's NCAA tournament bracket simulation?

"For an offense that never found its identity this season, Texas drew what might have been its worst possible matchup. Sun Devils coach Charli Turner Thorne is a master at making opponents uncomfortable, and the Longhorns never made a significant run."

I wonder which new coach CDC would hire after Aston is fired in Creme's hypothetical.

A quick exit from the tournament is our standard. Not surprised even in a virtual tournament.
