Is there somewhere I can place a bet that the Dolphins will be proven wrong for reaching on Tua? IMHO....he was the biggest winner of the day....Most people saw him falling fast and far. I'll be very suprised if he ends up warranting a #5 pick in the NFL with his play. All the best to him, but.....wow...Miami.
I am concerned about CJ's outcome. LJH had a better final season at Texas than CJ and he is struggling to stay on the Saints roster after being undrafted. Also CJ's injuries aren't helping him. If the Cowboys were not going defense in the first round, they would have been better off going with Dev instead of Lamb. Lamb takes to many plays off plus hit him a couple of times and he will disappear.
I was thinking the team that picked Delpit so high did not review the Texas game where Duvernay ran him over twice. Hello ...
I'm shocked about Jones. I would have thought that either Clemson safety, Stone from Iowa, or literally anyone who could run a 4.5 would be taken ahead of Jones. Good for him. I know he really parlayed his intelligence and interview skills into that pick. I had a feeling the Ravens would be the ones who ended up with Duvernay. Word has it that Steve Smith was personally working out with him and pushing the organization to nab him. Excellent pick.
I liked Harbaugh's reaction after the selection of Devin---his excitement tells me he thinks that Duvernay has a great shot to be a real contributor on the Ravens! Glad he got selected to a winner
That was cool Dev + JK Dobbins (another Texas kid) with Lamar Jackson could be absolute dynomite. I am pretty jealous. It's really them and the Chiefs, then everyone else in the AFC.
Couple thoughts.... 1. I have always had mad respect for the Ravens as an organization and that is a great landing for Dev 2. Love Dallas' pick of Lamb. Agree w selection entirely...especially in light of how RDS 2 and 3 played out for them... 3. Collin should have left CFB sooner 4. Agree with horns11 on BJ. I didnt see it on field, but he has some other things working for him and, who knows, may have been circumstantial he didnt shine more in Austin 5. I like Roach as a prospect in rds 4-5 and think he has a good chance to surprise if taken 6. Phillys draft not so hot IMHO so yea 7. NFL 20-21 season shaping up to be one of the more intriguing in recent memory
i saw something about Devin Duvernay in a Herman chat (which was kind of a funny event because at one point he had to read a question from a viewer who asked why he called "160 screens?" heh). Anyway, Duv had a great senior year with 106 receptions, 1,386 yards and 9 TDs. But 40 of those catches were at or behind the line of scrimmage. While it was smart to get him the ball a lot, I would like to see us go downfield more in the passing game in the future
Hmm, I'm pretty sure Herman was already our coach at Texas when Burrow transferred to LSU so why didn't Burrow come here if he respected Herman?
I'm glad Duvernay went to a winning program. Now I'll have to tune in to the ravens' games. I wish Dallas or the Texans would have gotten him but that's the draft for you. I love the Duv. I wish him great success.
Argument reminds me of Florida States WR’s Peter Warrick and Laveranues Coles. Who was better? In college, upside no doubt everyone would say the game changer Warrick. Coles (the 3rd rounder) played far longer and had a much better pro career. Depends on the team, situation, and most importantly heart. Free Shoes U was born.
With three quarterbacks on the roster at the time including Ehlinger, I suspect that the answer may be obvious.
