During a recent internet binge I found this old gag reel. Here’s the description from the site: “In this series of joke interviews, members of the Texas Longhorns football team takes a humorous look back at the 1970 season. First, broadcaster Cactus Pryor explains the dangers of the press box. Next, offensive lineman Julius Whittier jokes about his relationship with Head Coach Darrell K Royal. (Whittier was the first African American to play on the team, making his jest about Royal insisting he "come in the back door" a particularly pointed quip.) Then, Wally Pryor chats with fullback Steve Worster about his NFL prospects following Texas' loss in the Cotton Bowl Classic. Finally, offensive end Dean Campbell comments on his short stature.” Texas Longhorns Joke Interviews (1971)
Google & Youtube can be your friend... Rowan & Martin's Laugh In... 1960's, 1970's were the variety show heaven decades. "Laugh In" was one of them. Same actors/comedians doing different topical skits with recurring themes and jokes. Smother's Brothers Sonny & Cher Flip Wilson Show Red Skelton Hee Haw for the country folk. Who did I leave out?
The Laugh in Show frequently had a cast member or guest ride off from the scene on a tiny tricycle or bike and falling over at some point. Just something small & silly they did.
I dew, I dew, I deeeeeeeewwwww!!! I see exactly what you did there... You just admitted that you are a drunk butt-hurt frat boy. Seriously, at least wait until Sunday services are over until you start drinking (not that there's anything wrong with drinking, just ask frat boy in chicago.) Ha ha ha ha! I wasn't trying to insult you... "Laugh In" is a specific show, it's easier to look up than say...1970's variety shows. I listed as many as I could remember, those of us that were around during that period probably have fond memories of Saturday and Sunday night tv. We only had 3 channels for God's sake. If other posters here want to throw out a variety show then please do, It was a different time. My question was completely different than yours... "Google is my friend" explains: Reading comprehension involves three levels of understanding: literal meaning, inferential meaning, and evaluative meaning. This lesson will differentiate and define these three levels. Peace.
I liked ‘Laugh In’. The dirty old man on the park bench, Lily Tomlin on the phone, and can’t remember the girl who would fall over on the tricycle, and the hippy dippy weatherman. Ruth Bussy, just came to me.
