There aren't very many celebrities that I truly care about to the point at which I'm *saddened if they pass. This is actually one of them. Others on my list would probably include: Willie VY/Earl Campbell Emmett Smith Dollie Parton Disclaimer: I don't mean to sound callous. I'm saddened if anyone passes (except for Bin Laden). I'm speaking of a true gut punch.

Damn, sorry to hear. Has a great ranch outside Mt Juliet where they raised some great rodeo horses. Think it was named Twin Pines, brand was TP. Friend of mine got a horse from him. Best trained horse I ever rode.

Charlie Daniels was an awesome American, fiddle player, southern singer. I saw him in 1977 at the Austin Opry House....best concert I ever attended! I don’t think they make very many of them like CD anymore.
