Why is there a statue of Lenin in Seattle? Who put that up? When? They should be arrested. Either that or we should kick Washington out of the Union. No Commies in the Union.

I heard on the radio yesterday that Kaepernick signed a "lucrative" deal with Disney (after this tweet).

Colin Kaepernick signs production deal with Disney - CNN

I don't think that Kaepernick can afford to go back to playing football with all the corporations like Disney and Nike paying him millions of dollars. What those corporations don't realize is you can't pay the radicals off. It's like paying blackmail. Once they know they got you over a barrel, they'll keep coming back for more.

How is Disney going to make money as we are now in perpetual viral freak out mode? No one is going to watch their movies anymore in the theatres. That is how they make most of their money. Disney+ isn't going to save them. Plus there are no sports to watch on ESPN. How does Disney have the money to pay a do-nothing? They ruined Star Wars, so they won't have any of those movies to bring in money even if perpetual viral freak out ends.

I don't know. Conservatives were outraged and wouldn't go see "Hamilton" for about 5 minutes after the flack with VP Pence. That show is going gangbusters.

So-called conservatives will feign outrage over Disney and continue to watch 5 minutes later, as usual.

I won't ever watch Hamilton. Hamilton was a fiend. No reason to glorify him or give him the time of day.

Disney certainly didn't help the franchise, but if you ask me, anything after Return of the Jedi was crap!

I just mean, if you recall, the way the whole cast stopped what they were doing to lecture soon to be VP Pence when he took the time to go see their stupid play. People feigned outrage, but many if not mot of those are people went ahead and paid for tickets to see that crap performance anyway.

How do I know it's crap? I saw it because we were gifted tickets and went to be nice. If that makes me a hypocrite, okay. But, I can speak to what, IMHO, a ridiculous production it is.

I won't watch Hamilton either because it's part of the cancel culture. Erase the deeds of white guys by portraying them as minorities. Changing history to fit their narrative.

Not only that, but it has bizarre sexual innuendo and homosexual overtones that, IMHO, had nothing to do with the story. Very bizarre.

I have enjoyed the movies and cartoons that weren't produced by Disney's hand picked SJWs. It has light sabers and good guys/bad guys and decent overall story arcs. The execution is clunky but it is fun.

The guy who wrote the play and is one of the performers had to bring himself into the story. I think this is about looking for acceptance. If people like his play, then they like him.

Some American found it in a junk pile somewhere in what used to be Czechoslovakia. He brought it to the US but then died. Go figure.

Since 1995, the statue has been held in trust waiting for a buyer, standing on temporary display for the last 25 years on a prominent street corner in the Fremont neighborhood of Seattle.

They try to distinguish from the statues that have been trashed by saying this one is privately owned and on private property. But I dont think any of that matters to the hooligans. What matters to them is that this is their guy.

I am tempted to encourage the folks to get out of there, but they will probably move to Austin

I think that video is "fake". I watched three times, and never saw Phil Knight or Kaperneck out there leading "their people".

Senile? or just a stupid response?
""People will do what they do," Pelosi said when asked about Baltimore's statue of Christopher Columbus being destroyed by a mob. "I don't even have my grandmother's earrings."

Maybe we can extend the wall from the Rio Grande all the way up the western border to Dalhart to keep people from moving here from the West Coast.

I thought it was interesting because it used smart rap to tell a true-ish narrative about a "creole bastard" that we all thought was just an old white guy. It kind of flipped it around that he was the one from the cast that was different than the rest. The other players are all black while he's Peurto Rican. In actuality they're all white but Hamilton is a creole bastard. I've listened to it 15 or so times. Good stuff. It seems pretty bipartisan to me.

Also, when the cast spoke to VP Pence they only did so after the show and I thought it was respectful, as did VP Pence. I think the Aaron Burr character read the following statement.

"You know, we have a guest in the audience this evening. Vice President-elect Pence, I see you walking out but I hope you hear just a few more moments. There's nothing to boo, ladies and gentlemen. There's nothing to boo. We're all here sharing a story of love. We have a message for you, sir, we hope that you will hear us out."

"And I encourage everybody to pull out your phones and tweet and post because this message needs to be spread far and wide. Vice President-elect Pence, we welcome you and we truly thank you for joining us here at Hamilton: An American Musical. We really do."

"We, sir, are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us: our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us. All of us."

I'm sorta undecided about Hamilton, because I haven't seen it. However, it is remarkable to me how its perception has changed. When it was new, it was considered pretty woke, because they characters weren't portrayed by white actors. I'm not a fan of that mostly because of the double standard, but I wouldn't judge the entire play based on that. However, it seems to be losing its wokeness now, because my understanding is that it generally portrays the founders favorably. The shift is weird.

This sort of thing makes me want to take a trip to Portland. It would be interesting to see how “tough” these punks really are after a few of them get what they really deserve.
