Like the President (whom I voted for and will again), Herman has brought it upon himself.

They absolutely involved both their respective universities and the media in their responses to the BLM stuff going on in the world right now. Maybe you see them as better leaders because their sports teams actually win championships on occasion, but the way they have approached everything since George Floyd has nearly been a carbon copy of what Herman has been doing these past couple months.

I sense that the list of demands is always going to be a stumbling block for you, but I think that Herman, CDC, and Hartzell have done their best given all that is going on.

Have we had any kind of statement from Eagles, Overshown, et al, about whether or not this meets their criteria of "real change"? Are they satisfied, for now, or not? Is this a take-it-or-leave-it deal from UT?

It should ''be a take it or leave deal''

Demands were made (mostly ridiculous ones) but now that some have been met, they can either take it or move on if they find another university that wants them.....hopefully they may have just made things worse for their development and education. They may have just left that great opportunity behind. Walk on if you dont now agree to play. They need to recommit to playing with present changes or walk out the door to small team concept and see where it gets them. Hope they have the heart to make the right choice and apologize to schools and fans and USA!

Maybe the changes made by UT will resonate with others and we all can move on to better things before the USA is gone as Khrushchev said in the 50's

We can survive this initial extortion. We made some concessions. The snowflakes should understand and respect the humility that's been shown by the university and go forward with their commitment. However, having said this, if they continue their extortion then let's say goodbye to each one them and bring on others who would love to play for this university.

I think all of the players who "extorted" will be watched closely if football is played. First time the Cibolo Wolf gets burned, I think everyone should go nuts booing his great effort with chants for him to get off the field. Next man up...

Wow, surprised by your words Poms.
No, not gonna boo. Well except for the refs when appropriate.

Eagles was the first player to speak out and I've seen nothing from him. What's his story?

Without any information, I will always wonder how long Eagles will last after last season's antics....there's got to be an underlying story (maybe he's just TO or Keyshawn), but would never be surprised if he ended up at a JC.......

Sadly... that would be me. I admit it. I’m a weak man.

I still wonder if WR coach Mehringer was really “racist”. Maybe he told Eagles that the Eyes “history” he was gullible enough to believe in was full of ****.

Am always excited when Texas gets above average players like Eagles. However, (and my 5-star mind can't believe I'm saying this), if Eagles doesn't work hard, be a teammate, and do whatever's asked of him, his NFL dreams may never be reached...

The Statesman reported Thursday on the players at practice this week. Overshown was mentioned as being active and participating.

So in the news media today a news organization that presents both sides equally is a far right news organization? And when a white cop treats 2 suspects equally if it's a white suspect he's just doing his job, but if it's a black suspect it's racial injustice?

AAS go on keep fueling the flames of racism.

The best part of all this is that you can easily find pics and videos of some of these players singing the Eyes after both the Alamo Bowl and the Sugar Bowl wins. Heck, Caden Sterns is front and center in one of the pics used in some of the more recent articles.

having spent three years being in charge of the tutors in the '80's....the rest of the world would only hope for such support as they go through college....I would have had a 4.0 at the end....

these guys are treated like "conquering heroes", even when they are not conquering....

hand the man a tutor to explain to him the meaning of extortion....

then, show him and all the other hold-outs the door....I'm fine with going 4-7....the taste of being extorted is going to ruin one of the few things I still look forward to in life.....
