Just a little information.... A source from the Swac conference has been told by the ncaa that if fall sports get canceled then they will more than likely move to the spring and if that's not possible then athletes will receive an extra year of eligibility if they would like and they will leave it up to the schools to decide whether or not they want to give that extra year to athletes just like they did the spring sports.

Serves me right for not checking my sources. The only Yates guy I can remember playing for us was the offensive lineman who didn’t get into school until after a couple years @ juco.

There were several Peavy brothers, who were to Booker T what the Talberts were to Texas City and the Smiths were to Charleton Pollard.

If Richard had gone to Yates, I would never have been allowed to recruit him, because I did not like nor respect Luther Booker, and told him so. Hence, I was not allowed to recruit the Third Ward.

 

Alfio Randall. Ralph Johnson was an undersized TE from Yates in the early 80's.
