Ugh! I am in RE development and that is my focus that is especially concerning to me. I can't imagine the property value declines in the urban cores in major cities since March. Good grief- I was concerned enough about the impact of the virus.

It's the job of the president to protect the people of the U.S.. The states had plenty of time to get this under control and they haven't. We also used the Feds to take out the the Klan as well. Your disagreement is based on emotion, or you are just spouting DNC talking points. There are already Federal agents in every state. There is Federal property in every state.

Rioters attacking Federal property means that the President has the legal right to take action if mayors or governors refuse to do so.

Or with their feet. When they get sick and tired of this garbage (and their officials continue to do nothing), they can leave Portland. If enough people leave, the tax base will decrease, public services will get worse, more people will leave, businesses will leave, revenues will decrease more, and son on - and on - and on. And Portland would become the Detroit of the West Coast (if San Francisco doesn't beat them to the punch).

 

I don't think so in Portland, but some other cities that have troops (Or will have troops) have had a few. With more troops the local police can have some of their cops get off the frontlines to tackle the increase in crime that is happening outside of the protests. Chicago and New York violent crime is through the roof right now.
