I saw an interview with him right before his being shot...said they made them get out of the street...end of interview... VERY sad...all this PEACEFUL protesting, eh?
The dems and media are running the biggest disinformation campaign that I've ever seen before. Gullible libs eat it up like candy.
Texn That line up photo is from a Portland protest 3 years ago. It does not change that teachers are out there protesting and not peacefully hence the arrest
On a related note, from Minneapolis - Minneapolis residents are forming armed neighborhood watches as shootings triple after George Floyd's death. Very interesting - apparently residents are fearful of the actions by their officials that limit the effectiveness of the police.
I agree with you. When surrounded by a mob where some have guns shots will be fired. Demonizing the guy in the car is premature. Was he supposed to sit there and just see what the mob did to him?
watch, this.... the gut-wrenching part is that the guy shot dead...seen at the end of the video...he and his girlfriend have been together since being kids....now, she goes it alone....THIS SUCKS!!!!
This from Texn's link "The FBI and DHS say Antifa groups like BAMN are engaging in “domestic terrorist violence,” according to the Politico report." So WHY aren't they arrested and the teachers fired?
Here's an article on the shooting. Austin protest shooting: The story behind Garrett Foster and Whitney Mitchell Apparently it was quite the weekend for rioting, besides the usual riots in Portland and Seattle, there were similar goings on in Oakland, LA, Omaha, Colorado, Louisville, Austin, NYC, and Atlanta. WTH!
Yes I've seen the videos. Your replies to me are confusing. Im defending the guy in the car unless something else comes out showing him as the aggressor.
I am ALSO defending the guy in the car....it's the stupidity of GARRETT that is gut-wrenching....now, his apparently "sweet" girlfriend he's been with since they were kids is left with no one...that is the part of this I can't handle....tragic!!!
When will people realize that less people are killed when a 3rd party like the local police are responsible for public safety? Numb nuts.
I just don't ever rememberer this actually being a question anyone pondered-until now. Being a LEO has to be the most difficult job. Even before all this insanity- I think this was the case.
It would be great if there were some kind of guided defensive weapon that would travel along the laser beam to "turn off" those lasers.
I remember as a kid, when I suggested something really stupid I wanted to do-my parents would say- "You would have to have a hole in your head to do that!" The above photo is a good reminder!
It's sad that this dude got killed. However, this practice of letting angry mobs take over major streets and blocking traffic needs to end. It's dangerous. Should he have shot this guy? In retrospect, maybe not. However, if I was in his shoes, I likely would have done the same thing.
