And just like that, for me, it's over.

Stat, here’s the difference to me. This racism argument is mostly contrived. We might be the least racist country on the globe. Not perfect. No country is...

BLM and the anarchist crowd were waiting for a provocation and man did they pounce, with the willing and unbridled support of the usual suspects. Why CNN and the rest of the MSM wants to fundamentally change this country is beyond me, but it sure seems like they do.

So all of a sudden, we are a super racist country, all whites are bad, all whites should feel guilty, and we should all bow down to the BLM crowd that actually isn’t interested in addressing the real issues facing blacks in this country today. They are interested in fundamentally changing America. If not, why in the H would they want to Defund the Police?

Remove law and order and it’s a cakewalk to communism. (I’ll have to remember that one.)

Herman, by his comments, blindly went along with the ruse. That is unconscionable to me.

Yet they didn’t address the bigger issue facing Blacks, which is teacher unions and bad schools. That would save more lives and reduce police interactions more than rioting.

The founding fathers were rebels. So were Castro and Lenin. It's all ridiculous.

Absolutely agreed here. "Rebels" does not refer exclusively to the CSA army. Additionally, the school logos have nothing whatsoever to do with the stars and bars (which is why you can make a stronger case to alter the Hays Rebels), so this whole exercise is moronic.

    SN,

We are suffering from horrible case of "ain't got no heritage and no family history, and nobody in my family ain't never stood for or fought for nothing, so you can't have none neither"

Add in "your history don't count for nothin, so we're going to rewrite it'. and you have the cancer destroying our country.

It's not that they were rebels. It's what followed. Stacking up Castro's Cuba and Lenin's Soviet Union against the United States of America is how we differentiate ANTIFA rebels from American rebels.

Not sure of your point here. Mine is opposition to the status quo.

Maybe I need to read more but seeing our founders compared to Lenin and Castro made me want to throw up. Opposition to the status quo is a find idealistic way to think. What's the plan when the status quo is completely destroyed?

It's the R.E. Lee part they're concerned about, but in this instance, "Rebels" absolutely refers to the Confederacy. It'd be like a German HS called the "Karl Donitz HS Fightin' U-Boats" and then saying "well there are lots of submarines from eras outside WW2 that didn't try to spread fascism."

    Obviously I haven't made
myself clear. I'm vehemently opposed to any form of totalerian government. It's the prospect of what may happen in the future that concerns me.

    11,

Great idea. I want the next Katy ISD HS to be the Erwin Rommel Desert Foxes, unless i can convince SBISD to change the name of Memorial.

    Antifa rebels defeated Mussolini.
All schools should just be called PS1, PS2 and so on.
Why do they have to be named after people.

Because great people that do great things could perhaps inspire children to learn....like for instance, Robert E Lee! :e-face-tears:
