Well I hope the Koch brothers and Tea Party Patriots that sponsored this "information" campaign make these doctors whole

How many more positive studies do we need until we figure out that this works?

Was she the ER doc? A liberal nurse I worked with looked her up. Her point was that an ER doc wouldn't have any clue about that medicine. They treat the patient and either admit them or send them on to their PCP. Even if HCQ was involved they wouldn't be following it enough to travel to DC to speak on it. And the Nigerian doc was a pediatrician. So, how has she "cured" 350 patients?

Apparently, the State of Oklahoma is trying to unload a bunch of this that they stocked up on. Maybe the Koch brothers are as well. :|

This is just sad. A true dumpster fire.
How Jared Kushner’s Secret Testing Plan “Went Poof Into Thin Air”
    ------
Most troubling of all, perhaps, was a sentiment the expert said a member of Kushner’s team expressed: that because the virus had hit blue states hardest, a national plan was unnecessary and would not make sense politically. “The political folks believed that because it was going to be relegated to Democratic states, that they could blame those governors, and that would be an effective political strategy,” said the expert.
    ------
Lest we forget the real world examples of how a corrupt President could operate, I'm old enough to remember when this happened:
An impeachment witness foreshadowed Trump's coronavirus response before the pandemic even began

On December 4, Pamela Karlan, a professor at Stanford Law School, presented a hypothetical scenario to the House Judiciary Committee.

"What would you think if, when your governor asked the federal government for the disaster assistance that Congress has provided, the president responded, 'I would like you to do us a favor: I'll meet with you and send the disaster relief once you brand my opponent a criminal'?" Karlan said.

...But Karlan's testimony catapulted back into the spotlight this month as the president suggested a quid pro quo similar to the one she laid out: a scenario in which the federal government would send urgently needed financial aid to Democratic-led states grappling with coronavirus outbreaks only if those states gave in to his political demands.

"Well run States should not be bailing out poorly run States, using CoronaVirus as the excuse!" the president tweeted on Tuesday. "The elimination of Sanctuary Cities, Payroll Taxes, and perhaps Capital Gains Taxes, must be put on the table.

He also told the New York Post in a wide-ranging interview published that day that it would be unfair to Republicans if Congress passed a "bailout" for coronavirus-stricken states because the states that would benefit were run by Democrats.

"It's not fair to the Republicans because all the states that need help, they're run by Democrats in every case," Trump said. "Florida is doing phenomenal. Texas is doing phenomenal. The Midwest is, you know, fantastic — very little debt."

An ER doctor is a doctor of medicine, so a blanket statement like that is simply false. The statement that the drug is a cure is wrong, but a statement that her patients have recovered from it would be more accurate.

Sweden has about 10 million people. More people live in Texas than all of Scandanavia.

The chart looks the same if you combine NY-NJ-CT-RI-MA region. They have achieved herd immunity the hard way (overwhelming number of cases early).

It should be noted that the media says both Sweden and NY that cases will surge again this winter. It’s how they deal with cognitive dissonance and the medical data supporting 40% of population has cross immunity.

Texas is now post peak. Cases will never go up again. Will be on the tail on Jan 1 when vaccines come out. Vaccines will be for mopping up and for psychology. By Jan 1, 20% of US (and Texas) will be infected and another 40% have cross-immunity.

They also have their own currency, if we are going to start naming differences from Texas.

I think it's funny people were interested in Sveden's herd immunity strategy when it looked like it was failing. But now, if anything, its "they are smaller than Texas"

Thanks. Looks like there is a difference of opinion though between the governor, consultant and the health department. Not sure what the shelf life is, but the consultant is right. They will get pennies on the dollar trying to sell the drugs. And no doubt, it is a political move.

Most of US is on the sweden model anyway. Call it Sweden with masks. I see NY is slowly opening up in advance of school this Fall. By Oct/Nov they will realize they have reached herd immunity due to no second surge. In Texas cases are falling despite the economy mostly open now. I see unemployment claims still dropping in Texas. SC is another state that didn’t do much shutdown.

And on top of everything else, I think their govt is full of screaming, lesbian man-hating Marxists. It's all so confusing

The Swedes are led by Bernie Sanders styles socialists.... not exactly Marxists. Also socialist democracy works better in places like Sweden with a strong collective identity and long history of mostly honest public dealings. Where you have lots of government control ... and lots of corruption... things pretty much always go badly for honest, taxpaying citizens. US is not as corrupt as most places... but using political power to line your pockets those of your friends happens more here than in the democracies of northern Europe.

That's interesting. My PCP IS an ER doc, and, oddly enough, he knows a hell of a lot about medicines. Wow. Imagine that.

doesn’t your subsequent statement sorta refute this? Anyway I don’t agree. I fear that today we are among the corruption leaders. No linky just my ashamed opinion.

How uneducated are you? Swedes, Norwegians, and Danes are all not what Bernie claims they are. They are capitalists who have just almost as much economic freedom as the US. Bernie's desired policies would be thrown in the trash quickly in each of those countries regardless of his fetish for super majority white places.

When it comes to health care, they're a lot closer to Bernie than what you're referring to with economic freedom. The average Dane spends $831/year on health care, which is among the highest in Europe, yet still only marginally more than my monthly premium. The average Norwegian spends $246/year. Swedes are capped at $200/year for prescriptions and $100/year for Dr. visits.
