It's in the third sentence of the linked Wikipedia article. I'm not sure that the article is fair. It makes those folks look like Alex Jones wannabes with medical diplomas.
Croc Thanks. Not to be too dense but the third sentence in the wiki link that begins "Insofar as? There is no mention of the AASP in that sentence in the wiki link that opens for me. Maybe my browser is linking wrong link although the link does appear to address orgs and people who doubt or deny HIV causes or leads to AIDS. Just no mention of AASP
Here is what the link I followed showed "The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is a conservative non-profit association founded in 1944. The group was reported to have about 5,000 members in 2014. The association has promoted a range of scientifically discredited hypotheses, including the belief that HIV does not cause AIDS, that being gay reduces life expectancy, that there is a link between abortion and breast cancer, and that there is a causal relationship between vaccines and autism. It is opposed to the Affordable Care Act and other forms of universal health insurance."
Croc I see. I went to the link in the link. In the main link only says the group has promoted discredited theories. Then there is a secondary wiki link on deniers. No where in that secondary wiki link is AASP mentioned Nor are they mentioned in any of the other secondary links on abortion and cancer or vaccines snd autism. So Huskers main link says that the AASP has promoted discredited hypotheses but the links included do not show that Msybe AASP has done that. I do not know either way Husker should provide proof to back up his claim. The link he provided did not
This one also explains the AAPS very well: The Opposite of Socialized Medicine While they come across as small government, "don't tell doctors what to do because they're doctors and you're not" people of good faith, they're basically just a PAC who funnels their resources into constant lawsuits against governments for good faith laws, like being able to sue doctors for malpractice. Some of their ideas are considerate, like not dealing with insurance companies and charging low fees for services, but that's definitely not what they're known for. Meanwhile, they promote all of the "medical" nonsense on social media (vaccines causing autism, Obama hypnotizing Jews into voting Democratic) and then when questioned about it, pretend like they heard it from another source, much like when Trump says "people are saying..."
11 I do not know anything about this group. I am not disputing you. Do you have vetifiablr links to your allegations. Obama hypnotizing Jews? Really? You are saying AASP officially declared that? That one seems kinda hard to believe
11 Exactly. An silly opinion piece based on Obama being silly and saying a light will shine down on you and you will have to vote for Obama. Geez
There are over 1 million docs in USA. So an out there org of 5,000 docs doesn't merit much consideration.
It's easy to write them off as silly. But with an official-sounding acronym like AAPS, and quotes throughout many forms of media that definitely buy into conservative circles of thought, it's hard to dismiss innocent-sounding claims when people don't understand what their "other" claims are. That Obama hit piece was right out of that playbook. Link a site (freedomsphoenix.com) that seems to run off of bitcoin selling ads with a 67-page "medical study" by Erickson with the footer "EXPOSING OBAMA’S DECEPTION MAY BE THE ONLY WAY TO PROTECT DEMOCRACY" and attempting to pass it off as "medical" news... only to say "well we just linked it we didn't write it" is disingenuous and should make others question when they say... well... anything else.
everyone knows it works great against the chinese flu. would end the democrat narriative that the world is ending and stop these retarded lockdowns. the chinese flu pill cocktail stopped the flu in its tracks in may when all the sudden the deaths and icu admissions almost disappeared. it was not social distancing or any other ********. the peaceful rioters brought it back. but since when is the number of infections for a virus important at all? i thought it was deaths per 100,000? and if you take away the seniors killed in new york and new jersey by those idiot governor decisions the death rate is much lower. this "pandemic" is all political designed to cost trump reelection. now the rioters have magically stopped because sending in feds caused trumps numbers to go up. the democrats who kneeled with the communist antifa should all be shot for sedition.
But for the bad policies from Democrat Governors in blue states, the US deaths per million would be even lower
What did Sweden do to overcome the coronavirus without a lockdown, without a shutdown of their economy and without masks? Their policy was simple -- “... social distancing for everyone and requested citizens above 70 years of age to stay home.” Sweden’s Covid-19 Strategy Is A Very Unique One & Here's How
It was already over in June. The excess death numbers went below the yearly average. Then they changed the definition of a case. Cases went up as a result. Then hospitalizations and deaths followed suit. All we are seeing now is the continuing of the tail of the viral life. It never stopped going down, there was simply an artificial bump in reports that has now worked its way out of the system.
A large recent poll shows Americans think 9% of the US population has died from cornonavirus. Which is about 30 million people. The actual figure is less than 155,000 deaths (or much less than 1% of the population) Whose fault is this? “Despite relatively low incidence rates compared to earlier in the pandemic in most countries (with the exception of the U.S.), people significantly over-estimate the spread and fatality rate of the disease. In Sweden and the UK for example, the public think 6-7% of people have died from coronavirus – around one hundred times the actual death rate based on official figures.” In other words, people in the UK think coronavirus is 100 times more deadly than it actually is. The numbers for America are even more out of sync with reality. The survey found that Americans think 9% of the population in the U.S. have died from coronavirus. This percentage would equate to almost 30 million COVID-19 deaths. The actual death toll currently stands at just under 155,000 deaths. Americans’ estimation of coronavirus deaths is therefore a whopping is 225 higher than the actual number of people who have died. Gallup/Knight Poll: Americans’ concerns about media bias deepen, even as they see it as vital for democracy
My doc who works for me said it's probably like Tamiflu - if you hit the right window it could mitigate the symptoms. He says that the window is so small with tamiflu and the benefit of it is relatively so minimal he doesn't prescribe it and I've seen the eye roll when friends call to try to get it. My point is that ER docs and Pediatricians are not providing first hand evidence as they were not admitting and treating hospitalized patients. That was being done by hospitalists.
I guess you didn't see my facebook feed that saw these docs shared MULTIPLE times. More than 15. Mostly with the righteous indignation of "see! Share it before they take it down!"

Facebook Takes Down Viral Video Making False Claim That ‘Hydroxychloroquine Cures Covid’ 17,000,000 views.
Facebook isn't a publisher and shouldn't be doing that. It may not be a cure per se but the truth about it's effectiveness will come out. Lives are being wasted due to politics and money. A study that came out of Italy a few days ago showed 66% effectiveness of HCQ.
Not the Knight/Gallop links about media but the cut and paste you put up about 9% deaths. I cant find that chart and data in either link. Is it separate source?
