For sure climate has been very dynamic since the origins of the earth. I think this is the only time (the last couple of centuries) that humans have been able to influence temperature on a global scale.

Burning coal, oil, and gas has produced the most miraculous transformation of human life, that the only logical response is to thank oil and gas companies every day for the blessings they bring. The whole modern economy is built on oil and gas powered energy. You take that away and we will all be starving farmers.

The small bit of warming is a more than enough of a price to pay for the benefit.

You want me to do for free what the Koch Brothers' bloggers do for enormous profit, but taking an opposite point of view? Maybe for an appreciative audience, but not here.

Don't worry Nash. Just do a Google Search on English Wine and Climate Change.

The whole of Northern Europe made wine exclusively long ago until the little Ice Age. It was only then that they HAD to switch to beer and ale.

California is also having power outages because they have such a high renewables mix, like 20%.

Wind and solar really suck. We would all fry in our houses in Texas if we tried the same thing.

Yeah, but if the morons in Austin vote to increase renewable use we are screwed. You can't even trust Rs to be against them.

CA shutdown a large nuclear plant and a large natural gas plant. Nuclear and gas plants are critical for low carbon future. Doing it bassackwards.

Low carbon future planning is a waste of time. Shutting down nuclear and natural gas plants are bad in and of themselves.

We depend on wind too much as it is in TX. We have summer price spikes when the wind stops blowing during the summer. Last August was a humdinger for my fellow griddy-ites.

I sort of admire the never-ending optimism of the Hemp Club that it is the solution to every problem
Peace in the Middle East? Obviously hemp
Mission to Mars? duh, hemp power

Cross breed to THC out of hemp and plant the hell out of it. It's a valuable and versatile natural resource.

There is hemp beer. Skunky smell but has a smooth creamy texture. Called the Hemperor.

I agree with this assessment. About 4 years ago, we were driving home from Prague and came across this place for lunch. They made several of their own beers, and one of them was referred to as a "cannabis beer." I asked the waiter what it was like, and he pretty much said the same thing you're saying. He said a lot of people think the odor is a little strange but that it tastes good and has great texture. I decided to try it. I thought it was pretty good. I'd love to try the New Belgian version. They made pretty good beer.

It’s expensive, like $13 for a 6 pack. The smell is quite a punch when you uncap it. Pour in frosted glass and let it sit for a while. Think I will get another 6 pack next time I see it.
