This is also aimed at reducing European dependence on Russia for energy

Paybacks -- The Turkish government posted a map on its public broadcasting channel showing to refugees and migrants exactly how to travel through Europe, and arrive to France and Germany.

Assume we only get a small % of the Euro market due to the high costs of transporting LNG and the limited capacity of LNG transport. A reasonable assumption.

So if the bulk of the Euro nat gas market goes to Russia, Turkey, or Libya, then, of the three, I think I’d prefer Russia get it.

So if they build the Turkish pipeline, watch for Russia to find some pretext for war with Turkey (those two have fought multiple wars and really can't stand each other). A pretext should be easy to find with all the stuff going on in Syria involving Russia and Turkey. That probably won't end any time soon.

In that war, Russia just might so happen to destroy the Turkish pipeline. It would be extremely difficult to protect.
