When he virtue signaled with his affirmative action policy (would only choose a black woman), he basically doomed himself to this conundrum. Pretty much all the VP candidates who fit that policy were going to turn off Rust Belt voters.

The Dems did it so that if Trump wins again they can scold Trump voters once more for being racist. The excuse will be that white people didn't want to vote for a "black" woman.

 

But they'll vote for a white woman who bangs Willie Brown.

 

If I was black and a Democrat, I would have noticed something that none of them have that I can tell. The Democrats act like they want African Americans in power. But they don't really. Obama had a rich white mom and a Kenyan dad. Kamala had a Jamaican dad and an Indian mom. They are POCs broadly sure. But culturally these aren't African American. An African American would be a person who grew up in South Chicago or South Central LA or Atlanta or NYC who had two black parents who were from families that have been in the US for generations.

Democratic Party leadership doesn't want that type of person. They don't want people like that, like Herman Cain or Ben Carson. They don't even want someone like Kanye West. I personally would vote for any one of them.

It reminds me of the scene in Get Out where the older white couple quickly and awkwardly brings up Tiger Woods to reference the first black person they can think of so they don't look racist. The left understandably loved that scene. Now it became the same logic Biden used to pick his VP.

Had to laugh at part of Kamala's speech where she said "we have seen what happens when you elect someone unfit to hold office." Has she taken a look at who she is running with? If ever someone was CLEARLY unfit for office, it is Biden...
