I took it as a reference to something I've been thinking the last few days...
Just the decision making, timing, choices, bad luck, misfortune, irony, etc etc etc. I mean, Mama is all in Daddys ear right about now. If things don't work out for him Bru and Pops will never live it down...ever....never. No way they could have known this, but man.....UT and Big12 looking at ya like...."I'm not going to say I told you so, but...."

I think that the conferences that don’t play in the fall will likely play in the spring. If that happens, what would stop them from setting up their own playoff? The NCAA is toothless. Not as crazy as it sounds.

Then there are the awards. The Heisman. If by late November it’s apparent that the non-playing conferences will start in January, it will be fascinating to see what happens with the awards. Do they bestow them all in April?

Lots of fun speculation.

 

BIG, PAC 12, Mtn West Conferences gave in to media pressure and Political Pandering! A lot of Liberal states represented out there. Sad.

 

A legitimate question is can all these BIG, Pac12 players portal and play in another conference immediately? If so, that could completely change the dynamic of the remaining conferences.

An average team such as KSU could conceivably win the conference and play for the NC cherrypicking the best players from the BIG.

 

It's not like teams have multiple scholarships laying around. More interest than deserved in my opinion.

 

Who's OU's QB this year? There's your "winner".

 

For the conferences delaying and thinking about spring football, imagine the injury toll by next September/october playing 20-22ish games in about 9 months. There won't be much if any down time to recover between seasons.

 

MWC are idiots. With the Pac & BigTen canceling, MWC would likely have gotten more of their games on TV than eve before, particularly the late Saturday time slot. Not like the stadiums would be full anyway.

OOPS, did I say something bad about our head of officials home? Doubtful Walleye reads these bords.
