Moon should point out multiple instances (it’s a big problem) where the police shot someone where they did not resist or fought with police. Millions of police occurrences happen every year. Prove there is a problem. In the meantime, sponsor. You are wasting bandwidth.

I don't watch CNN, MSNBC, or any other national news network.
I don't watch Maddow, The Daily Show, etc.
I don't that type of validation.
I try to read and gather my own info.
Preferably from routers or the Associated Press.
Why do conservatives soak up the false news and propaganda of FOX news?

No I was pointing out MoonWelfares 1000 posts without sponsoring. And his inability to post without facts.

But you miss out on just how naive, duped a person can be. Or maybe just how selfish they are.

Like Breonna Taylor, Botham Jean, Daniel Shaver, Phil Castile, and Justine Damond?

And what about situations where someone wasn't shot but the police still molested or attacked someone and then in many cases charged them for "resisting" it? Like Martin Gugino, Breaion King, Anna Chambers, Dana Holmes, Marissa Morris, Charnesia Corley, Zandrea Askew, and Hope Steffey?

Or pretty much the entire Baltimore PD being discovered as being part of a systematic conspiracy to plant weapons and drugs on people? People talk about the small minority of bad apples but Baltimore clearly only has a small minority of good apples since nobody blew the whistle on it for years.

Bringing us back to the instance at hand....
Someone was resisting arrest, fighting with officers, unfazed by tasers, ignoring instructions, and rushing to car, reaching in to get something...and was then shot.
Who's at fault? And if you dont think it is the young man, then I'll ask is the mistake by the officers...given the actions of the guy and the circumstances...so egregious as to walk out on your job or protest in the streets or condemn police? No, it isn't that clear cut at all...and very few of these cases are.
I can guarantee you one thing.....If it happened to my son...and these things do happen to white people... I'd be pissed
.....at HIM. And say... son...what were thinking?!? Would never ever think to blame the cops.

That's certainly the way any "rational" person would think. But that's not the narrative from Antifa, BLM. Facts and circumstances are irrelevant. It's use this situation as another way to extract more of what we want leading us to our ultimate goal. And we know what that is.

    Antifa and BLM???
I thought the black people in the newspaper I was viewing last night who were holding a torn flag in their hands and chanting garbage while standing in front of the public vehicle they just lit on fire were right-wing white supremists?

Sterns should show some real integrity and transfer. Why does he want to play for a racist university and racist fans?

The interesting issue if he is rightly boo'ed will be Herman's reaction. Not much wiggle room between criticizing the player or the fans.

I don’t blame Sterns, he is a young knucklehead that wasn’t straightened out by his parents or his coach or the feckless administration. Not being straightened out will not serve him well in the future.

I blame Herman and the feckless administration for not being the adults in the room and not having an inkling of how to handle the matter.
The feckless administration allowed Texas football to become political by a bunch of 18-22 year olds and didn’t hold the coach accountable.

One of the problems is that the majority of the feckless athletic administration is not from Texas. I get an email from Yankee Amy Folan introducing some Yankee from
Michigan to a new job. I guess the premier University of Texas has no one capable of the position. Del Conte is a Californian and I don't give him a pass In this matter, Plonsky is a Pennsylvania Yankee,
Eichhorst is a Yankee....Does anyone really believe any of them give a damn about Texas Alumni or the “Eyes of Texas”? The answer is no.

I watched Patterson run a whole bunch of people off that had been long term season ticket holders. I know my section never filled back up with Foundation donors and Texas sold seats on a game by game basis at a cost less than the Foundation members paid.

I will watch on TV until there is a change.

Until there is a change, I will not buy tickets or contribute to the Longhorn Foundation.
    First time since 1972.

And brothers, I am not alone.

    The game will be over.
    Fans will be leaving.
If most of the team is singing the song will anybody really notice if one or two players do not?
    Enjoy the game.
    Sing the song.
Pay no attention to who doesn't sing.

It might just be me, but I am having a hard time thinking that all of those threatening to turn the channel, quit watching or stop supporting the team over their social stance is going to move the needle. Is there perhaps an equal or larger group that will now have stronger support as a result of the stance. Completely agree that what will move the needle are the BMD's who quit giving to the program if they are truly offended. But again do we really think there are many BMD's walking away?

I'll stand tall and proud with my 13 yo Sat night as we raise our horns and sing the Eyes. I promise I am not going to be keeping count on which players are on the field and which ones look like they aren't moving their lips.

Players running into the locker room after games is noticed by everyone in the stands. They might just escape after this game because the band will not be present and any singing will have to rest on Sabre's acapella start which means the team will leave the field quickly.

The next home game will be the test. The chicken way out will be for the band to not start playing until the team leaves the field. That will be noticed and probably boo'ed, but it will be for all of the team leaving not just Stearns.

Herman and CdC had better be conditioning the team about the consequences of disrespecting the University of Texas. Earl and Ricky had better be in Stearn's ear early and often explaining respect. Lack of Stern's respect for the community that is making it possible for him to showcase his talents isn't the way to go.

Look, if he doesn't want to sing, then fine...don't sing. He won't be the first since, through the years, we have had several sports where the athletes stood with their horns up but were clearly not singing. However, if he bails to the locker room and doesn't at least remain with his team, then he can get the hell out. Transfer portal is THAT direction --->

All of them need to remember the opening...the Eyes of Texas ARE upon them.

I shall watch to see who stays and who leaves, but it is my understanding there will be no band for this game.

Very telling if there is no band, will the administration play The Eyes over the Jumbotron or not

If there's no Eyes of Texas from the Deaf-a-Tron, the fans should sing it themselves. It's a time honored tradition at the University of Texas, to thank the players for their efforts, and has been done even when the team / coaching staff has no right to be thanked at all (various 63-10 losses to OU, 66-3 vs. UCLA, loss to Kansas).

Then boo. Boo for all your worth. Boo the administration for not playing it. Boo any player who runs off the field. The stadium will be 75% empty, those boos will carry far and wide.

Everyone needs a boss, every business needs a feedback loop to correct them when they do stupid and greedy things.

I remember when the first Jumbo tron came out in the late 90's. It looked so neat with highlights playing. Then an ad played. My friends and I all said "Oh no, it's not going to have loud commercials on it will it?"

So we booed. Booed loud and long, everyone did. Every time an add came on the boos rained down. Next game or so, it still had ads, but no sound for them, which we thought was a decent compromise. Use the power of the boo.
