If that doesn't improve Sam's Heisman chances nothing will.

That was a complete and thorough trashing of UTEP. I couldn't be happier with how they played that game.

Any injury updates? Sure sad to see Whittington leave the game. Also, does anyone have an update on BJ Foster?? Didn’t notice him in the game and saw nothing in stats line. I hope everything is good with this guy. Love the way he plays.

Great question on BJ. Many were surprised to see him 2nd on the depth chart. They went deep into the bench last night and no sighting. I hope he isn't upset for not starting and there is some other explanation for his absence. If anyone saw him and we missed it let us know...

That is the last thing I wanted to hear. I really think the horns defense needs that guy! Now, I might have expected something like that from Eagles. Man, I hope this does no come to fruition.

Seems like he has alternating extreme highs and lows

Funny how it goes down in the official stats as Epps rushing for 40 yards on 0 rushing attempts.

After what I saw last night I don't think Texas Tech will be a problem. Esp. after TT performance against Houston Baptist!

San should have a big day v TT. Test will be how much time they give him cause he had all day v UTEP.

When was the last time we scored almost every first half possession and it was over at halftime?? I remember that in 04’, 05’, 08’, 09’. Not since then! The defense holds up and Texas will be special this year. Biggest question mark right now is BJ Foster? I know it’s early but these coaching changes are paying big dividends on both sides of the ball.

Nah, biggest question is can front line hold up. Run blocking may need improving but pass blocking was unbelievable. So how much UTEP and how much the boys? That is what we’ll find out soon enough.

Josh Moore's 127 receiving yards (6-127-1 TD) were the most-ever by a Longhorn in a first career start

I dont know what the coaches will do. Maybe leave it up to the team captains?

    Per TFB:

As you know, there have been reports regarding BJ Foster quitting the team and leaving yesterday’s game during the game.

I spoke with sources. Am told that he did indeed leave the game out of frustration.

But, I am told that he has already apologized to coach Ash. He is set to meet with the whole staff and it sounds like he is repentant for the decision and will express that to the coaches.

I know in the football world walking away from your team is seen as the unforgivable sin. And, I get that. But I do believe that when you consider the staff changes, the external pressures on the kids through Covid and social unrest and the fact the Foster went from being a star defensive player to a back up, it would be wise to consider this situation more carefully.

I do believe that if he does express his remorse (again, I’m told he has and will in a more formal meeting) the coaches will make path for him to redeem himself. And, I personally would agree with that position

"So I left and quit in the middle of a big sales pitch. So what? I deserve a second chance"...said no one ever and got away with it, that I am aware of. I wonder if I quit 3/4 of the way into a flight and go sit in the back, will my airline give me a second chance?

It's hilarious because we always read how these guys are learning to be men from he coaches. This does not teach that. Well, I guess it teaches how to work in the NFL since it lets the players run its shows. So, maybe that's what they are learning.

My feeling is this; though it was UTEP, we performed exactly as I would have hoped. We crushed them easily. No hiccups. I think it's going to be a very good year.

As for Foster, I'd take him back if he is hugely contrite and is willing to sit out two more games. But I don't know the back story. My knee-jerk was good-riddance. As a player I'd be, "WTF dude?" I remember back in the day how my teammates just wanted to think about the game DURING THE GAME and not someone bitching about playing time. WIN THE GAME, then deal with your issues.
