Now that I know this really is about Beta and not Beto
If I have the right spot, this is off Louisiana not that far from Texas border

This is often part of my bicycle rotation
In fact, it pretty close to where I ran into the police horse

    JF Wait? WUT?
You ran into a police horse?
    What were you protesting?

I was just going past, on a narrow part of the path.
A truck went by with a loud backfire
Scared the horse which jumped backwards into me
There was nowhere for me to go, with a steep drop off to my right, two other mounted horses to the left
I had to jam the brakes with both hands - but with my hands locked in place, I went in face first (the rear wheel even lifting off the ground)
I literally face-planted into the left rear buttocks (to quote Forrest Gump) of the horse
His tail then got locked into my left brake when i released it so I was stuck there for a paralyzing 20 seconds trying to dislodge the tail, screaming "dont let him kick me!"
Then the cop acted like he was the victim
Two weeks later, when I had a flat on the front and pulled that wheel, I found some horse tail hair locked around the axle

I’m sure not funny then but funny to hear now, especially your screaming “don’t let him kick me”. I assure you, had the horse wanted to kick you there is not a darn thing the rider could have done to prevent it. Yeah he could have helped calm him but it still is funny.

If it had, not only would there have been the kick to whatever body part (or $2k bike) but there was a ~20' drop-off immediately to my right.
One of the female cops even told me later that worried her more than the potential kick
