Just had a news post on phone she passes. 87 years I believe It said. No confirmation just was a flyer so take it cautiously for now.
Tough broad. RIP Funny arguments for and against speedy confirmation of the new Justice are on the way!
Too bad McConnell is not a man of principle "Republican Senate leaders declared that because Scalia's seat had become vacant during an election year, the Senate would not even consider a nomination from the president"
Wrong. Called the Biden principle. Only applies when different parties are in the White House and senate.
Thomas ain’t dead. Don’t know when you may have the chance again. Just a little payback for the impeachment b.s.
Thomas will retire next year if Trump wins and Senate is GOP. Need a woman to replace Ginsberg anyway
Ahh, I misread your original post. I thought you were saying the opposite. Anyway, you think the Dems would not confirm? Morality is relative here.
Among other things, she has fought stage 4 pancreatic cancer for a few years. Not many make it past one. Whether you sided with her, or against her, she was tough, she fought a good fight, and she served her country despite many ailments. May she finally rest in peace. And may we as a country have the decency to wait at least a week before we start fighting over the replacement.
Well, I would have to look back, but wasn’t the point that the democrats didn’t have the votes, so they had to wait (thus it was McConnell even being quoted), whereas here, the republicans presumably do have the votes?
Exactly. Without the votes in the Senate, the vetting and approval process of the candidate nominated by the WH can cross into the next session by delaying tactics, so what is the point?
Well, when the Dems have the votes, they just move things along. The RINOs, when they have the votes, bend over for the Dems so the media says nice things about them, which they don't anyway.
